Good Mong Kok Bakery - San Francisco - Photo album

This is what I do for food sometimes, some might say I’m a foodie nut. I woke at 6:00am, got ready and made my way here. Note, I walked past this place twice before and the line was way too long, but I needed to try this legendary place. Even a cold and misty morning wouldn’t stop me. I got here at
They usually have a queue, since this place is quite popular. I visited around 8:30am and just waited 15 min. They have very fresh dim sum with amazing prices. I asked to just get one piece (instead of 3) in order to try different ones. The sesame balls are perfectly crispy outside and have a super
The queuing was the only disadvantage i found at this shop. But after i got to taste their shrimp dumpling and bbq pork bun, i had no conplaint for anything! The Har-gow or shrimp dumpling here is the best out of all the places i have ever tried. The dough is so good. Not too thick and not dry. Thum
This place is fantastic!!! The ladies who work there are so fantastic, I got far more food than I could eat for ten dollars and they give you cutlery and sauce. I got the shrimp dumplings, chives dumplings, shiu mai and bbq bun- all fantastic and filling, the shrimp dumplings were my favorite
Popular take-out dim sum spot where most of the common dumplings are offered at 3.20 per set (of 4, or 3). All of the à la carte items are cheap, and the flavours are all on point. Grew up in Vancouver eating dim sum at legit places my whole life, this place is serving banging dim sum. There’s a lin
This dim sum spot is one of well known ones out of many in SF, Chinatown. Being an SF native, I never tried this spot until recently because I wanted to see what the hype was about. For me, I give the food a 3.5/5. I got to try: 1. Pan fried scallion cake (3/5) 2. Baked BBQ pork bun (4/5) 3. Steame
Classic Chinatown bakery with all the usuals. Great food for a great price. I got their pork bun which was super nostalgic and delicious. They had so many of them freshly steaming! Would recommend!
Small hole in a wall to-go dim sum place. Also has frozen food and other items. Long lines and they have two windows serving the customers. Although it doesn’t look very appealing, dim sums were actually very good, and price is very friendly. We actually came two days in a roll for breakfast. Recom
We got a recommendation to go and it was very good and tasty! Queue for about 10 minutes… but queue means: must be good?! We bought our lunch … dumplings… BBQ pork bun… etc
Loved this place!! Baked BBQ bun, shu mai, chui chow dumplings, sesame balls, scallion pancakes....so much delicious food, and you can feed a huge family on a budget. We took a pic of the menu so we could decide on our order ahead of time because we had read they are "ruthlessly efficient." Accurate
Went on a Friday afternoon on a beautiful, cool day at 12:45 and the line was quite short. Was prepared for aggressive service based on reviews but it was absolutely fine. The ladies are simply efficient and want to get you through as quickly as possible. I ordered a steamed BBQ Pork bun, a sesame b
If there is a line, it must be good! Everyone I come to this bakery there is a line, early or late in the day. Everything I’ve had here makes my mouth happy & my tummy happy dance. The price is super fair, service is good & friendly. Cash is king, but they do accept cards with an additional cost. Ge
Make sure you prepare before you come in, check out the menu and have menu numbers ready. We got here on Friday, around 11 am and spent about 30 min in the Q. Two ladies working took their sweet time taking orders. They were not rude, just slow. Once it was our turn we ordered #1 (pan fried scallion
If you are visiting SanFo specifically Chinatown, you would’nt want to miss this dimsum house. They normally close at 3pm so you should go there early coz the line is quite long. My favorite was hakaw and shu mai. All the food were so flavorful. Prices are reasonable too.
Best thing I ate there was the pan-fried scallion pancake slice. It had sesame and some salt on top with lots of scallions inside. Toasty and yummy!! Worth the long line. I didn’t like the egg tart so much. Rather bland.
Good food with amazing price. We come here everyday. Service what? It’s Chinatown :)) They now take credit cards!
