Our visit to Fino for our second anniversary was an unforgettable dining experience, marked by exceptional service and culinary excellence. From the moment we walked in, the quality of service set the tone for a wonderful evening. The staff, especially our waiter, provided impeccable service, with recommendations that enhanced our dining experience.
The highlight of Fino is undoubtedly its pasta. Learning that all their pasta is made in-house heightened our anticipation, and rightly so. Each pasta dish we tried was a revelation – fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. It’s clear that Fino takes great pride in their craftsmanship, and it shows in every bite. The wine list at Fino is another aspect that deserves high praise.The ambiance of Fino strikes a balance between understated elegance and a cozy intimacy, although it can feel a bit cramped. This, however, does little to detract from the overall experience, as the quality of the food and service more than makes up for it. Fino is an ideal spot for a romantic date night or a special occasion.
The restaurant is nice with a comfortable waiting area for people who made reservations. The staff is nice and friendly. We got a fruit punch which was pretty good and I recommend it. The food wasn’t bad but it was not delicious either. It was ok. Something to be aware is that they have a spaghetti carbonara which is not really a carbonara. It does not have eggs and it has onions and paper. Although we did not like it, we did not pay enough attention to the menu that says these items are included. They don’t make online reservations, so you need to call them.
The food here is incredible! I would recommend the pasta dishes. We had a prawn and creamy vodka tomato rigatoni and one of the specials which was halibut with a mushroom ravioli. Both were so delicious but I thought the halibut special was a real highlight. The flavours worked so well together. Our waitress (on the bill it said Susan) was lovely and the right amount of attentive. She also recommended a lovely Californian Sauvignon blanc. I would definitely recommend a visit. The main negative is it was quite expensive. With the taxes and tipping it was much more than we would have paid in the UK so I would suggest on the higher budget end.
Superb quality of service. Our waiter made perfect recommendations throughout the meal. Each dish was prepared well. They offered an excellent wine list.
So good we ate here 2 nights in a row! They said all their pasta is made in house and you can tell, all the ones we tried tasted amazing! Their veal dishes were very good too. And their desserts are so pretty and taste just as good too. And I have to mention just how nice all the staff was, they were always trying to accommodate us!
Got the gnocchi with gorgonzola and it was very delicious. The lava cake was cold and had a coffee taste(some may love that but not what I was expecting)
Literally one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I’m in town for work and I’m legit considering going back for dinner again tonight - it was that good.
Our server Charles was AMAZING! He was very attentive, helpful and made us feel welcomed. Coming out of state, he also recommended different hot spots to check out in SF. Also, the other servers/ cooks/ chefs were all super friendly and made us laugh! The food was delightful. If you ever go here please ask for Charles you won’t be disappointed!
We stayed in SF for a second week. So we're back again for our last dinner. Our granddaughter joined us for this special treat. We had three different main courses and all were delicious. They were fully booked tonight. Reservation is the way to go!
We were here two years ago and now we're back. Fino restaurant is our favorite restaurant to go to when we're staying in the City. Great food and wonderful dessert to end the meal with. The service and staff are friendly and they appreciate Happy customers. We're Happy and we're so glad they fit us in last minute. When you're in town check them out, but make a reserve first, not like us! Enjoy!

The minestrone soup was delicious. Ceasar salad nice but the scallops were the best I have ever had!
Excellent service and exceptional food. My wife ordered the special with salmon and I had the Lombata di vitello, both were excellent.
Stopped in on a search for Italian near where I was staying and found Fino. Nice atmosphere, busy, so a little noisy but expected as the place is apparently popular. Sat at the bar. Still great service, delicious Old Fashioned, and the Abrizzi was very good. Great find for never having been in this part of the city before.

Our amazing server name was Charles and he made it even more special - service like at the finest restaurant. The place was packed at 8pm on Monday night - that was a good sign!
Food and beverages were sooo flavorful!!! We have Brussels sprouts, pasta and tortellini finished by a lava cake. Everything that other tables were getting (yes I was peeking) looked so good and people were nearly licking plates. Good sign!
This place is a true hidden gem! Highly recommend and would definitely come back!!
Ordered the margarita pizza and some pasta. Also had butter beer and finished with a crème broulé. Great dishes, fun setting, easy to reserve, and they have butter beer!! They also have a Harry Potter cocktail menu. Will be coming back!
First night in San Fran and so glad we picked out this place after trying to find some great pasta. We arrived at around 6.30pm and although they didn't have any tables available, they had one last place on the bar. Our server (the lady pictured here) was soooo lovely and friendly - thankyou! We ordered the 3 cheese ravioli and creamy tortellini with basil pesto, plus the arugula salad and some cocktails - couldn't fault anything.
Everything here was great. I recommend the pizza! The entire thing went really well with eachother. Tons of flavors.
Quite simply, one of the best Italian restaurants in San Francisco. Can't speak highly enough about the quality of the food and the excellent staff (Charles was an excellent waiter). If looking for a great local place, stop looking and come here!
Service and food were amazing. I ordered the ravioli with crab meat special, and it was one of the best things I've eaten all year. The portions are generous, my daughter loved her fettuccine, mushroom, tomato dish. Prices were very reasonable. Fantastic experience!
