Delicious pit BBQ! I've been here a couple times and the food has been great both times. I've had the pulled pork and the brisket and both were excellent. Great sauce. The mix of the spicy and regular is perfect for me. Keep up the good work Martin. We'll be back soon. Would love it if you had a leafy green side salad available.

Went in earlier with no idea how amazing this place would be. Absolutely what I was looking for, great food, very reasonable prices especially considering the amount of food you get. First I will start off with how nice the staff is and how helpful they were. Made me feel welcomed right away gave me a 4 oz. sample of a special chili for the day and loved it. Had the right amount of spice and kick with some great Cajun flavor thrown in. We ordered a 6 piece chicken tender meal that came with a side of your choice, my girlfriend chose macaroni and cheese which was very good and the strips were huge and felt far from generic tenders. Moist and perfectly breaded and cooked to a golden brown. All for $4.99 ! I had the beef brisket dinner with the twist b&w sauce which is a mix of spicy and mild and it was the best I've had in years. Felt like I was back in the south with grandma. It came with two 4 oz. sides, I chose macaroni and cheese and the potato salad. Next time I'm trying the coleslaw which I know will be good. Couldn't finish all the food but the smell of peach cobbler kept calling to me and decided to order one to go. Just ate it and no surprise I wasn't disappointed. All in all I had a fantastic meal and will be a regular here from now on.

The costumer service is great. But really people? Everyone is acting like this place is good. The food is so gross, I would have given them 0 stars, but had to at least give one. You've obviously have never had real BBQ or southern cooking if you like this food. The portions are small for the amount you pay. I got catfish and fries and only ate the fries. The catfish was so small, dry, and tasteless. I can literally make food better than this at home. They need to get new recipes and new cooks because these guys have no idea what they're doing in the kitchen.

This place is awesome!!! I had the 3 meat combo with pulled pork, rib tips and brisket. they were all amazing. The sides were equally amazing especially the mac and cheese. Will definitely be back since i only live 5 blocks away in east village no need to drive all the way to Phil's anymore. Very friendly staff, they also have a groupon for $12 for $20 worth of food.
