I have been here off and on for the past 5 years. The authentic Cuban style is a little too authentic for my taste. Cuba is a poor country, but this San Diego restaurant really should consider buying new plates.

OMG. Soooo good. Try the wings... The Caribbean BBQ sauce is out of this world delicious! I got the key West chop... Layered deliciousness. We (speaking for my own fam) Arizonans make it a mission to come here every trip.
I'm not sure what happened but the food is just not good anymore. My beef was burnt and my fish was dry and tasteless. Way too much rice for the sides and my broccoli was not cooked. I guess there is new management but I wish they wouldn't have changed the way the food was prepared. I am so disappoi
Salad, and muduros were xcellent. The only disappointment were the fried cassava/yucca; not quite right. Like they had gotten cold then refried, not sure.
The empanadas and the shrimp Tostones were amazing! Great flavors. I wanted to also try the croquetas but unfortunately they didn't have any that day. Definitely recommend a visit. There was salsa music playing just welcoming you in to the front doors. There is some outside seating right now.
