Antonios Mexican Food

This place is a must stop if your looking for authentic tasting Mexican food. I ordered the machaca plate and everything from the flavor to to the tenderness of the meat was perfect. I also like that it was walking distance from our hotel and that you have the option of indoor or outdoor seating that is shaded.

Hawaiian burrito & shrimp burrito are far superior to any other downtown Mexican restaurant. Great options, fun and flavorful menu. Always something delicious in the cooler to drink from American to Mexican sodas. Combos are a good deal but their beans & rice are just not good to me no matter how you doctor them up with yummy condiments....

I really want to give Valantines a better review. But there is so many little things that bother me. Especially the other obviously fake reviews the owner of this place must be buying for itself. First the good. It's got a great location in the north side of downtown. In an area where you'd have to walk several more blocks to find other good Mexican food it's an island of availability. The service is ok. No table servers, just counter and the folks that work there aren't horrible. Just not very friendly either. The food is ok. Not great, and definitely not "the best Mexican food I've had in this country" as another reviewer put it. I've been here a couple times. And I'd probably go back again. But I sure wouldn't recommend it as one of my favorites.

The Cali Burrito was great! Extremely great tasting and hot; not as high as I'd like but wouldn't call it small. Crispy fries and the sauces they had were excellent. Carne Asada Fries were alright, not as good as some other places but nothing was wrong with them. Restaurant was great as well; if you order in they actually bring the order to you and they accept all the major credit cards (I paid using AMEX).
