This spot has that authentic east coast city flavor! The sandwiches are bomb and everyone that knows this spot talk about the bread! It has a balance of fluff and crust-crunch. The mouth feel and flavor is on point! I just had the cheesecake and I wasn't expecting actual flavor! All that plus the prices are the most reasonable in downtown San Diego! Oh and when Stuart, the server, says "I appreciate you" you can tell he means that. What a gem

Good was great. The guy up front was kinda abrupt, but I have tough skin. The food is the important part - I had a calzone and it was amazing. Super cheesy, meekly and gooey. I would eat here again.

Update from 3/7/21
I've been going here a little over a year now. I just had dinner with my mom there last night and we had pizza, pasta, salad, PIPING HOT GARLIC BREAD and beer (on DRAFT!!) 🥴 the salad is awesome, very fresh, cut right and generously portioned but rest assured I have a lot of cheat meals coming from here in the pizza.
I would have taken pics but I was too into eating it. Next time. Bc there will be a next time 😍

Mozzarella sticks! Cold subs are excellent! Haven't tried all the hot sandwiches yet. The meatball sub is top shelf. Pizza is great. And even the pasta I like.
The people here are friendly and inviting.
Start with the meatball sub and Mozzarella sticks. That's what I did.
The pizza is traditional. And very good. Their spaghetti is excellent.
Prices are hugely competitive considering they are located downtown next to C street.
