I gave 2 stars because most of the staff and the manager are very nice and a delight to interact with. However, that said, one employee in particular is just unpleasant, very rude, and his abrasive sense of humor is not at all endearing. Now, I get that they put up with a lot from some of the homeless that hang around, BUT that is no excuse to go out of one's way to humiliate an individual because they happen to be homeless. This Ralph actually had this girl in tears running out of the store. This was after one of our especially cold rainy nights just after the holidays and it was clear it was a rough night for those stuck outside. I hadn't been paying any special attention to her until I heard loudly "Everyone is starting at you", "You don't look OK", "People are staring at you", "...because everyone is staring at you" (I didn't see people staring until he went over there tbh) She said it had been cold and she hadn't had blankets so didn't sleep well and he left. People WERE staring then, she was clearly embarrassed, said something to her friend started to cry and left. I wouldn't imagine he would look too much better after a night in the cold and rain like that. Like I said, I get the homeless can be frustrating, but really all customers can and I don't see why this particle girl was singled out. I guess her reaction is what made me upset, but really it was excessive, unnecessary, rude, and downright mean spirited. I have heard little snips from him prior but this was enough to make me leave a review after getting my morning coffee here a a few times a week for well over a year now. It's shutting down now and I can only hope he improves his attitude if he's staying with the company.

I always have a great experience here, everyone is so entertaining and nice. I even met 2 coffee masters, did not know they existed! Dizzy was so helpful and gave me so much info on flavors of coffee beans and what would enhance flavors. This is my favorite coffee house in North Park, cost effective corporate pricing with the quality of an independent coffee house feel. 5 stars!

As Starbucks come, this is one of the nicest, including the people behind the counter - very polite and helpful. Spacious, up to date interior, enough seating and good ventilation. As in most of their locations in the area there are a few homeless individuals who are regulars and that may be challenging on the olfactory sense sometimes.

Only two employees on staff. Waited a long time for two mochas. Employee served her friend that came in after me who also ordered a mocha. When I finally got mine there was no espresso shot in my mocha. I have visited this Starbucks almost every morning for three years. Not impressed since they can't keep good employees on staff. There are two other locations in my area that have better drinks and get them right the first time.

Great coffee but when did north park receive so much bitter snooty people. The poor people that work there. Pissed me off the other day this lady in a rude manor asked me if I was going to smoke my cigarette here and told me that she hated the smell....i told her to go inside?? Drrr?
