Meet Fresh

This shop is located between Daiso and H Mart. You have to either order online or order from the kiosk, There is no cashier. I got the milk tea with boba and lychee jellies. Really good, I love the jellies. I also got the "small bite" caramel pudding with boba, tasty and perfect if you just want a little something sweet.

Ok so meetfresh is based in Taiwan. I’m from Taiwan, which I can safely say I’m qualified as the judge of authenticity. I must say, the stuff here at meetfresh Mira Mesa is very close to identical than the stuff I had back in Taiwan. The grass jelly icons are great. Me personally, I love the red bean soup signature. It can be really cold here in the winters of La Jolla. Therefore, a hot sweet soup can really do the magic of warming your stomach and your body. Back in Taiwan, I always have red bean soup in the winter, so I have quite a high standard for this dish. Surprisingly, I really love MeetFresh’s red bean soup signature. The sweetness is right on spot, and the toppings like boba and taro balls all fit well with the soup! Because of how authentic this store is, I found myself coming back regularly. The staff here all treat us really nice. It’s a shame that they close up the store in convoy, it was way closer to my place than the Mira Mesa one. To sum it up, this is one of my go to dessert store in La Jolla. If you wanna get something cold, try grass jelly signature. If you want something to warm yourself, definitely get red bean soup signature!

The first time that I had Meet Fresh was over 10 years ago back in Taiwan. It features some of the most common snacks you can find in Taiwan, including boba, taro balls, grass jelly, tofu pudding, and shaved ice. I was so amazed when I found that I could find these delicacies in San Diego because one of my biggest fears when I decided to study abroad was the inability to have access to the food that I grew up with. Every time I visit Meet Fresh, the decorations in the store and the smell of desserts make me forget that I’m over 11,000 miles away from Taiwan. Meet Fresh certainly is the dessert place that I go to the most in San Diego! One of my go-to dishes at Meet Fresh is the signature grass jelly combo. I really enjoy the richness of flavor that grass jelly and creamer created together. Meet Fresh’s menu features over fifty different types of desserts so you can definitely find something that fits your tastes!

I come here every week for a drink and it was not disappointing! This Taiwanese style desserts were amazing:) Thanks to Callie! You have a great attitude, always smile and have excellent customer service. For sure would like to bring friends and colleagues to enjoy some of their incredible drink and desserts. Strongly recommended this place:)
