Phenomenal sushi place. Very impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the dishes. Sushi is one of my favorite foods and I've enjoyed it in Japan. This spot is my new go-to in San Diego. They have ramen and other classics too! Highly recommend (although I also hope it doesn't get too popular since there was no wait tonight)

Visiting from out of town and found this amazing sushi restaurant. The place is small and the staff are very nice. The sushi is very fresh and the flavor combinations are great! Can’t wait to go back!

Great lunch special! I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile, and I’m so glad I did. I worried the lunch special wouldn’t be filling, but it was the perfect amount and everything was delicious. Great service too!

One of my absolute favorites. Incredible food, friendly service, and a one of a kind cozy atmosphere - and a great value. Don’t sleep on the non-sushi dishes. I come here a minimum of once a week!

The place had a very weeb friendly ambiance. Comfortable! The temari sushi are also great! The seafood were fresh and tasty. I especially liked the otoro and uni nigiri. The uni nigiri particularly looks very fresh.
The staff were very attentive and nice.
5/5! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a good Japanese restaurant to eat at in San Diego!

We have been here a few times and each time the food is fresh and delicious. The staff is so considerate and friendly. It's our new favorite spot.

Walking into this place as a person who isn't into anime or manga, I was skeptical at first. Pokemon everywhere (wearing Santa hats!) and kitschy seashell decor had me in a mindset of "ok, they're playing to the comic con crowd, don't expect much", but holy cow. These folks know sushi.
Don't expect fusion or gimmicky rolls!
Had the Rainbow Roll combo with monkfish liver. Insanely good. Expertly cut, plated with flair, and above all else- delicious.
I've never eaten sushi in Japan, but I have a feeling this isn't far off from the real deal. They even serve you your bill in a manga comic.
(Extra credit: the bathrooms are wild... In a good way!)

Great service. Uni lovers must try the uni, very fresh. We ordered couple items, only $75. Taste of the foods excellent, must try the plum wine.

I ordered a Nigiri omkase and the experience was absolutely fantastic. Fresh and wide variety of fish and seafood and traditional dishes accompanied by more modern takes on sushi, I will definitely come back as soon as I can.

The Temari Sushi is very interesting with ball shape. The decorations on the sushi are super nice, adding more flavors which is even more admirable than the special geometric form. Decent price.
