Gaslamp Speakeasy

Cocktails are more hit-or-miss here than any comparable cocktail place I've been to (two of the three I ordered over successive nights were so poorly balanced I didn't finish them.) The vibe is OK, the location is great (nice to be able to order a proper martini in the Gaslamp), and the nightly live music is a definite plus. All in all, not somewhere I'll go out of my way for, but I'll probably go back for music or location.

Very mediocre cocktails from arrogant bartenders. They had supposedly implemented a queuing system on one side of the bar and therefore refused to acknowledge my presence when asking for a drinks list elsewhere, not even to tell me about this undocumented system. I also witnessed several groups give up on even ordering and leave due to the service.
