Nice lady that is always there to take your order. I recommend Joe’s 10’’ Philly steak sub but with cheese whiz. You will never be satisfied with any other cheese steak after you try there’s.

One of the best Philly cheesesteaks I have tried. Service is fast and friendly. The location is pretty small, but we go for the food!

I was very delighted by their signature philly sandwiches! Each bite was filled with great flavor and it tasted like Philadelphia. The Chicken Buffalo Sandwich was my favorite! I also loved the Philadelphia sports decorations and history around the restaurant.

A good cheesesteak for San Diego. The meat was tender, juicy, and seasoned well. The bread was fresh, soft on the inside, and a little bit toasted on the outside. Grilled onions were done just right. Plenty of cheese options - I got both wiz and provolone. The sandwich itself is on the smaller side and a little bit light on meat and I felt like the fries were needed to make it a complete meal. As a Philly area native, I was satisfied and would come back here. Definitely better than Giorgino's, equal to or slightly better than Philly Franks (which are both in San Diego)

I went here on a recommendation that said this was the closest thing to Philly cheesesteaks in the SD area and hands down it was. While good meat and cheese is always important, it really comes down to the bread for me. Every other place has generic buns. This place gets there bread delivered from a famous east coast bakery and puts other sandwiches in SD that I've had to shame. Extra plus was the guy working behind the counter was extremely friendly and explained shops history. Would definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

Delicious Philly cheesesteaks! I had the Joe’s Special and my wife had the Bell Pepper. Both were outstanding. The meat was tender, juicy and full of flavor and the bread soaked up the drippings but still held together. We devoured it. The staff was really friendly and gave advice when asked. Lots of Philly memorabilia on display and a classic Eagles game showing on the tv. Nice touch. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

Best cheese steak sandwich by far. I've been to most every cheese steak shop in the county (7 places), searching for the right combo. Amoroso rolls, non water downed Cheez Whiz, no extra salt and packed with tender, not overcooked meat. It's worth my time to come out from east county for this.

That authentic Philly cheesesteak in San Diego! The best part was the bread! The decor made it feel like I was in West Philadelphia, born and raised, on the playground where I spent most of my day" 😂 9/10! French fries were perfectly cooked but a little on the salty side.. is that how y'all like them in philly?? Make sure you check them out!!

Authentic Philly Cheese steaks and hoagies. I lived in Northeast Philly before moving out to San Diego. These are way better than Jersey Mike's and Firehouse Subs. The key is not only a fair portion of fresh ingredients, but to stuff everything into an Amoroso roll. Every time I eat here I feel like I'm back in Philly. The service is always fast and friendly. Everything on the menu is delicious. Plus, they always have Tastykake treats. Gotta love the Kandy Kakes! ***Philly Joe retired and the shop is now owned by Abbey's BBQ a few doors down.*** Update: Got a large Italian hoagie. It was very tasty, however it seemed to contain less meat than in the past. Hopefully this was just a one time issue and not an ongoing cost cutting measure. Update: Got a large Italian hoagie. It was very tasty, however it still contained less meat than in the past.
