Steak N Fries

Solid entry into the world of philly cheese steak. I should preface my review by saying I only hand out five stars on rare occasion, pretty much if it's one of the best I've ever had, so a four star rating is really good in my book. I tried the standard cheese steak with American cheese and a side of fries - I'd recommend Steak N Fries if you're in the area and like a good cheese steak. It was pretty good for the value, they didn't use cheesewiz, and the fries were traditional deli style fries. One of the things I liked the most about this place was the variety of cheeses available, most cheese steak operations don't give you a choice. The sandwich was a bit small for my liking, but I left satisfied overall and give this place my approval. I'll definitely be eating here again when I'm in Pacific Beach.

I guess I just never had a good cheesesteak. I always felt they were overrated and just okay at best. A friend suggested this place and I could not believe how much better they are than any other cheesesteak I've had in the past. I get the cheesesteak with wiz, onions, and jalapeños. It's incredible. I live across the street and never tired it but I ended up liking it so much that I've been back 3 times in the last 4 days. Really speaks volumes considering I never really thought I liked these kind of sandwiches. They really knock it out of the park here. Fries are perfectly cooked as well and the guy that I assume owns the place is very nice as well.
