Golden Donut

I live in the neighborhood and stop by the Golden Donut often. To me, the most magical thing about this place is the vibe. Every time I go I feel like I've stepped into Mister Roger's Neighborhood. Sandy, the owner, is always friendly to me, and we often chitchat. There's a group of senior guys who hang out inside often, laughing and having the best time. Everyone is nice to each other. It just makes you feel good. Plus there are shaded tables outside were you can enjoy your coffee and donuts. I would highly recommend the Golden Donut iced coffee. It is absolutely amazing, but get ready for the caffeine rush and the sugar high! It's high octane stuff. My favorite thing to eat is the egg and cheese croissant sandwich. The croissant is melt-in-your mouth buttery, and the sandwich itself is super satisfying. The donuts are pretty good, too. I often get a simple sugar donut. They are consistently fresh. I see that a few reviewers have commented about the place being cash-only. They now have Venmo, too. I will say that I think this place is a bit expensive now - they recently raised their prices. I still think it's worth a visit for a nice, old-timey donut shop experience.

I found this place the other day when I was dropping off stuff at goodwill and let me tell you. I got a cronut and it was absolutely amazing. Honestly all their donuts looked amazing but the woman there told me to try a Cronut. There’s a coffee shop right across the street but I swear the coffee here is better. I am going here every other day for coffee now and I’m pretty sure this is where I am going to get donuts for now on. I also love the woman I talked to. Super nice and helpful.
