Update: I gave them another chance today because of a coupon. Much better service. The order was complete, and the overall experience was the Popeyes I remember before the "shrinkflation" era. Previous review: Popeyes used to be a good value for your money. But recently they have been super meager with their portions. Our 16 piece tender didn't even have 16 pieces, and the pieces that were there are about 2/3 of the size they used to be. Unlikely I will ever go here again; and I used to get Popeyes all the time.

I placed a mobile order for a 12 piece chicken nuggets meal today. When I got home, they had actually given me ghost pepper wings. I called and spoke with Reggie. I did have to go back, but Reggie made it right. He had a smile the entire time. His customer service skills were above and beyond. Thank you, Reggie.

My son wanted to stop after practice Thursday night and this was a bit of a drive but closest to our house. He wanted fried chicken but not just any chicken, he loves Popeyes fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy. He gets the 4 piece combo which comes with a side and drink and ranges around $13. Seems a bit high but he splits the chicken over a few days so its not too bad (plus we don't make it there that often). My favorite are the spicy chicken strips with the Mardi Gras mustard. Not too hot but just a little kick and with the mustard you get a little hint of heat and tang. My go to side is the red beans and rice. Their biscuits are yummy as well, always fluffy and buttery. Don't forget the apple cinnamon pie too, it is a great way to end your meal! Staff at this location has always been great as well, it has been pretty busy whenever we've gone and they always smile and get food out quickly

This popeyes located on Mira Mesa Blvd. It's always busy and slow, but I find the chicken and sides very good. Today, I wanted to try the Mac & Cheese and I wasn't disappointed. I wanted to get a small, but they were out of it and only had a large for .50cents more. I ordered it and glad I did. I was amazed how it looked like Mac & Cheese like my mom made with lots of cheese and oven crispness on top of it. I tried Chick-fil-A Mac & Cheese too. I like both and you can't go wrong with either one. It's a win 🏆 win for us all. Enjoy yelpers.

Good friendly clean location. The ladies were really nice and made sure my order was accurate. It was a a little pricey. 3 to 4 more dollars more expensive for their family size options compared to other competition. Spicy chicken is good though. Not sure if it because of that location they charge more so I'll have to find out.

Did the drive-thru thing today mid-September 2020. Called ahead to order, but they said to simply order at the drive-thru window, which I did. My order of 6-piece combo Ghost Pepper Wings, Biscuit, and one side (Cole slaw) was delicious. I should have asked for butter for that biscuit - no biggie, I had some at home. Cole slaw was predictably a bit soggy, but tasted good. The chicken wings were the smallest I've ever seen, but they were delicious, and had only medium (IMO) but persistent heat from the Ghost Pepper. These are not pure Ghost Pepper wings - but it's in there definitely. The people at this Popeye's are super nice, efficient, and helpful. A bit out of my way to get there, but I'll be back for sure.

Great chicken sandwiches here. Much better than chick-fil-a. Chick-fil-a is the healthier option but the sandwhiches here are so juicy, tender and crunchy. Their surf and turf plates for $5 are a great deal too. I was pretty satisfied with the meal. I haven’t had Popeyes in a while because there was usually a giant line for the chicken sandwiches. Overall, I’d recommend checking out the chicken sandwiches
