Where to start?! This place is hands down one of my favorite restaurants to dine, or come for drinks. The company that I work for and organize our monthly happy hour for has always received the best service here. It's a perfect balance between a comfortable not uptight setting, and classy enough to feel good about being there :) Kady always makes sure that things are going just the way we want it to, and her concern for our satisfaction is appreciated greatly. Melissa, their event coordinator has always gone above and beyond to ensure that our event is carried out happily, worry free, and on the nose as to what we want. She's awesome. Our clientele is always so happy when our happy hour is held at TBR. Ken, the manager is also super kind and makes sure to check in during our evening. Overall stellar service. And the food there is on point! I hear they're going to incorporate an exclusive sushi selection to the menu, so that's exciting. My personal favorites (and some of the popular choices our clients like) are the crab stuffed squash blossoms, the calamari fritti, the Morrocan lamb chops, the black and blue pizza, the Sicilian Pizza, the tempura cauliflower, and also their cheese plates are worth it. Aside from the event we have here as a company, I myself come here regularly just for a drink or two and an app and I'm never disappointed, and always welcomed by the entire staff like I'm a friend. This place has done well. On behalf of the company here at Providential Real Estate, and myself personally...thank you! You will continue to have our business.

Love coming here for their Sunday brunch. Cant beat unlimited champagne for $20 and the food on the menu is exquisite and tasty. Never busy on Sunday morning so that is always a plus too. No waiting. Dog friendly

We ordered the pastrami sandwich and the chicken panini. Both were great. Chicken was thick and tasty and the vegetables inside the sandwich were tasty too. The pastrami was lightly burnt around the herbs and spices edges just how we like it. Service seemed on par with a nice upscale steak restaurant (good thing) and decent selection of beer and wine (though we did not have any alcohol this time). The menu was priced according to a nicer lunch experience, so it's not the bang for your buck, but being able to have garlic fries instead of regular with no extra cost is a positive tick in the $$ column. We will have to come back for a glass of something!

Overall it was really good. Only disappointment was that they took a long time for the drink, only to say it was gone for the night. However later they were able to find something similar and brought it out. Had an old fashioned, it was good as was the adult raspberry lemonade. Food was top notch. Tried some pizza, brussel sprouts, buffalo cauliflower, garlic fries and calamari.

Food is excellent. Wine and beer selection is great. Noisy patio for brunch so avoid (sit inside). Service is first rate. Go next door and visit Brian at Mason Ale Works.

Not a massive collection of beers on tap or spirits but a decent list to choose from. Food is good and well prepared and presented but portions are a little small. Apparently they age and cure their own meats which is pretty cool. We came for happy hour (just missed it when it ended at 6pm) and had a good experience.

My family and I used to go to the original Barrel Room in Rancho Bernardo. A bit far from where I live but they have a great selection of wines and our favorite lamb chops (and I normally don't eat lamb). When I learned that another Barrel Room was about to open in the middle of our neighborhood, I had very high hopes for them and really wanted them to do well. Days before their official opening, I stopped by and met a very friendly manager, Sarah, and placed the first reservation of their business. I walked in with my family for lunch as they opened for business that day, feeling a bit like an inspector. I ordered the lamb chops as my quality control against the original Barrel Room - I noticed something's changed, it's even better! The rest of our meal was fantastic, along with great atmosphere and service; everything exceeded my expectation. Since then, we've been dining here on a regular basis. In addition to their great food and service, there is something unique about this neighborhood gem. It is a place that is great for many different occasions. I've come here for lunch alone while working on my laptop, a date with my wife, treating guests from out of town, a quick bite after kids' sports practice, casual family gathering, somewhat formal business lunch and dinner, colleagues hanging out after work, teenage daughter's birthday party, etc. - the type of flexibility that is often lacking in high-end restaurants. Sarah runs a very tight ship as a manager. She and her crew have always made us feel welcome and my family and I will always look forward to our next visit. It's great to have such wonderful restaurant in this residential area. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Decent food, lots of good wine. Location is a bit strange, as it's surrounded by housing units, but doesn't really affect the ambiance of the restaurant. Service was good, though it can be dicey when the restaurant is busy.

New-ish to Carmel Valley, The Barrel Room is an excellent bar/restaurant in the new Merge shopping center. Directly downstairs from pacific Arts Dance Center, the gorgeous decor and friendly staff really compliment the excellent food and drink here. Though I’ve only sat at the bar, the table seating inside is very nice and there is an awesome patio outside with heat lamps and comfortable seating. A little removed from other business-heavy areas, The Barrel Room is definitely worth the short driving for a visit.

Great service. They want to make sure you have a great time, food, and drinks. I got the seasonal special of spinach and goat cheese salad which was delicious. Last time I had the TBR burger which has yummy carmelized onions. Their garlic fries are so good!!
