Sunnie's Ocean Beach Mexican Cuisine & Coffee

Great little Mexican food stand with a surprisingly wide variety of options. Don’t let it’s size fool ya 👍🏼 Breakfast burritos are big enough for two and you can build your own from lots of toppings. There are only a few tables on the sidewalk l, so for me it’s more a take out place, but if you want to sit you might get lucky or just a block away you can sit and enjoy the ocean view while you eat. It’s worth the drive out to the beach if you don’t live nearby.

We made a quick stop for lunch and we were happy we found Sunnie's. Short walk from Ocean Beach area. I had the Diablo Shrimp tacos and my wife had the mini tacos. The flavors and spice were perfect. The food came quickly and the staff were nice and helpful. Outside seating only - make sure to check around the side of the building for extra seating.

Just down the road from an amazing view at Sunset Cliffs. This place has great quality and great options for making your own affordable meal. Their hot sauces are homemade and very very good. I highly recommend coming to try the hot sauces here if that's what you're into. They also offer a breakfast menu aside from their lunch menu. This place is very versatile and I will definitely be coming here often while I'm here in SD.

Reminded me of my grandma and mama's food back home (I'm from New Mexico). Made with love and flavor! I had the iced Mexican mocha, delicious with regular coffee, I ordered the sunrise plate with bacon. The bacon is cut in small pieces, but crunchy just like I like it! The homestyle potatoes are cooked perfectly, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. The red and green salsa were both flavorful. Red a little spicier, which is my preference. I did a Christmas style and mixed them both. Husband had the french toast and he approved. Ordered 2 breakfast burritos to go while heading to the beach. If you find yourself looking for somewhere to eat while near the beach, I highly recommend, Sunnie's!

Great little spot! Ordered a battered fish taco + a build your own bowl and everything was delicious with reasonable prices. Sometimes places make the food a *little* too greasy and I was very glad that was not an issue here. Carne asade was on point 👌🏼 Not sure if they make the hot sauces in house but the orangish one was soo good with a big kick to it 🌶 The lady who took our was very friendly and we even met the owner who was there with his family dining and they were very sweet! Would definitely come back again.

We were happy to happen upon Sunnie’s! We will be back! We really liked the friendly staff and quick service. Great people work here! TIP—> They have really great carnitas! TIP—> Taco Tuesday, street tacos for $1.50! Totally worth it and filling with guacamole on them! We grabbed these to-go and ate them at Sunset Cliffs!

Super chill not your typical taco shop. Big menu, lots of choices, including build your own burrito, salad, bowl or whatever you like. We built our own Cali burrito, had surfers burrito , which is the best breakfast burrito hahah , adobada taco and grilled fish burrito. All was really good and if you're a fan of green salsa you'll love theirs , it's not too spicy and very flavorful. The guys that work there are super nice and make the experience so pleasant. Will definitely come back when in the area. Which is perfect spot to grab some food and enjoy it by the water. Open 9am-8pm
