Neighborhood cafe with lots of charm and delicious pastries. I go back every time we are in town.

This has been my favorite French bakery for years... I shared it with an acquaintance from France and she agreed.
But over time, my most favorite of all their items here has become their chicken curry croissant sandwich. I'll go out of my way to get it. And I enjoy their iced mocha's here too.
Good on them for getting more seating. I remember the time they had asked me to leave so others could sit down. I was upset. Hopefully that'll never happen again now.

My Aunt showed us this place when visiting. We stopped by for coffee and pastries every day that we were in Scripps Ranch. The americanos were wonderful as well as the almond croissant!

Heard this was the best Croissant outside of France my buddy had… so had to go check it out. Unfortunately when I decided to go the lovely staff was on I’m sure a well needed and deserved Vacation.
A few of the photos are from then.
Today, July 28 2023… however I decided to make the trek once again knowing they were open!!
The place presents amazing! Quaint spot in a nice shopping center with plenty of seating for I’d say about 15-20 outside under cover.
While waiting the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant and willing to help and explain anything. Super friendly and amazing! Those two alone make it a place to stop back through and support!
What I ordered First, 1 BLT Sandwich, Second, 1 Ham and Cheese croissant, Third, 3 Plain croissants and finally 4, 2 Chocolate Chip Cookies
Before I get into the scores I must say this place is a must stop if you live in San Diego at least once. The drive is east, once you’re off the freeway the scenery is gorgeous! Worth it!
Let me start in the order in which I tried the goods!
Chocolate Chip Cookie unfortunately very average 5.2 they do look amazing so I’ll be sure to ask again at some point if they are fresh and I’ll give it another go!
Ham and Cheese croissant - WOW!!! damn good! 8.3
BLT Sando - The bread is the winner here but overall not gonna blow my socks off. But if I lived around the corner I’d smash them consistently 7.4
And the reason for the trip the Croissant!
I’ve been very fortunate in life to travel quite extensively! If you’re looking for one of those sweet croissants don’t be shocked this is not. Buttery , Savory and a nice salt kick . I’m a fan! Definitely up there for me 8.1
I will add as I stop in and try more!
I hope you get a chance to try this lovely bakery! They deserve all the business they get!

Delicious fresh pastries and food. This cake was a valentines special and was enjoyed by all. A bit on the pricy side but always fresh and SO delicious! Get there early because it gets very busy. Parking is not an issue. You can also order their Friday night dinners - they show info on their facebook on this. Highly recommend the pastries, they are amazing!

This place is awesome. This place is tucked away you would not know where it is unless looking for it, they have really good treats I would definitely recommend the chocolate eclair. They have really good sandwiches and the service is pretty quick and the people are very nice.

I'm always swing by this bakery whenever I am in Scripps Ranch. It was initially recommended to me by my AP Gov teacher (thanks, Mr. Maheu!). The quality is always consistent. Their almond croissants, chocolate and berry tarts are to DIE for. The almond croissants are buttery, crispy, soft, creamy, and gooey in all the right places. The chocolate ganache of the tart is luxurious, the berries are crisp and sweet. The prices are also a splurge, so expect to spend at least $20. Well worth it.

A French bakery. A neighborhood gem. I am lucky to be able to get authentic croissants and other pastries within 10 minutes drive. I love their veg quiche, La Ficelle, and lemon tart. They also offer two person dinner for $35. Check the menu and call in before they get sold out.

The ham and cheese croissant is delicious. I don't usually get this type of breakfast so I can't compare it to other places. But the almond croissant was kinda dense and not flaky and fluffy inside. It was a good flat croissant and I had much better. The prices are a little high like almost double compared to my go to bakery closer to home which is more superior in quality. People were standing in line out the door here so its worth a try.

Tried almost everything from the menu at this hidden gem tucked inside Scripps Ranch. Haven't gotten disappointed yet. Servers are friendly. Outdoor seating only. Lines can get long during peak times, but worth the wait. The best R.A.C. (Raspberry Almond Croissant) in San Diego!
