Porkyland Mexican Grill & Catering

I liked the CARNITAS BURRITO, the green salsa and the pico. I wasn't a huge fan of the Carne Asada meat. It was pretty good, filling, and same with the Fish Taco. It's perfect for people who don't want things too spicy. The Carnitas meat was unlike any Carnitas I have had. It wasn't crispy or super flavorful. It was actually like a home made shredded pork roast fresh out of the crock pot. Once I got used to that, I liked it a lot. I will definitely order that again when I am in the mood for it. It was fresh, comforting and a a big portion that felt like a good value.

Office catered. I honestly liked this and surprised its not ranked higher. Tacos 8.5/10: made a beef and chicken taco. Well seasoned. Hot sauce was good and the spice level was just enough to make it hot. I think the key was the tortilla. Pretty sure they make their own so makes sense. Hot sauce 8.5/10: mild was good and wasnt bland like most mild sauces are. Hot had just enough heat also good flavor. Rice 7/10: standard Beans 7/10: standard

Ok. For so long I just thought this was another chain Mex food place. But it is near where I live and after a few times of ordering food there I started to think well maybe this place might be special. Well yes the food is good and it is consistently good. I also noticed that every time I went ther I saw the same employees. That is a very good sign. So I must declare, Porkyland is a really great Mexican food restaurant. Not the greatest ambiance because it is in a shopping mall be if you want some damn good Mexican food this is your place. And no I am not being paid to say this!

Whether it's a great fish taco, carne asada burrito, or a meal for the family, I've come to rely on the delicious food at Porkyland. I love that they make the food to order - it always fresh and tasty. And they are always to happy to accommodate customizing their items for me. Food is fantastic - prices are great - and there's plenty of parking too.
