Capri Blu Italian Bistro & Wine Bar

We went for Happy Hour. I love the waitress at the bar, she provides outstanding service. The last time I tried the calamari it was bland but it was much better this time. The Margarita Pizza was okay, my husband didn’t like the crust but the Farfalle was delicious as always. I met and chatted with a few wonderful people and the live music made the atmosphere perfect.

Went here on a Monday night. Was seated immediately, and water given to our table. The two servers were fantastic and very knowledgeable about the menu. They both were very conversational and fun to talk to. My son got the lasagna and my wife got the fish of the day special. They both loved it. I ordered the baked ziti, but was a little underwhelmed. It lacked a bit of flavor, and didn’t seem fresh. However it was ok nothing to write home about. The potions are huge. We ended up taking 3 to go boxes home. Now about my dinner. While yeah it lacked flavor and wasn’t as good as the others. It wasn’t terrible either. There’s a myth about going to restaurants on a Monday. Maybe I bought into that a bit too much. Still I’ll try the lasagna next time. The staff and servers are really great. We asked for a few things and they didn’t seem The least bit bothered. They were happy to help. That’s what will get me to go back. A wonderful atmosphere and excellent service.

We had a delicious dinner on Mother's Day this year. Complimentary champs for moms was only the beginning of a wonferful meal. The dishes we ordered were hearty and tasty. The Osso buco was one of the Chefs special and it was spot on. Tender and very flavorful. I chose pasta instead of the risotto and it paired perfectly. Service was a little slow but it was a busy night. I recommend you give it a try. Buon Appetito!

Fun local restaurant. It's somewhat high end for the area, and they try hard. The food is above average and the bar is fun. The staff are very attentive and professional. Prices are slightly high for what you're getting. Evenings are fun - like many places in San Diego, becomes a fun, local scene for the older crowd.
