Yokohama Yakitori Koubou - San Diego - Photo album

There was a lot of vegetarian options, but I was not incredibly impressed with the dishes I had. Although, it did give me a chance to try a new meal: the green tea noodles. My takeaway: Yokohama is a good place to get some quick bites and a hot cup of sake! Overall this restaurant is unique, fast,
Japanese style skewers place, and this place just nailed it!! Great food and service with perfect atmosphere. I would visit over and over!! Easy five stars. I tried not only skewers but other foods too, and they were all good.
Please make a reservation to ensure you have a proper two hour time limit. We came at 5pm without a reservation and they told us we need to finish by 6pm so that they could get ready for the party at 6:15pm. At 5:45pm, they made sure to tell us last call for any orders. We ordered two of what we li
Fantastic food, the Chicken Rice Bowl was amazing. The chicken thigh skewer was also really tender and juicy. The only downside is there is a really long wait for the food, and it is usually at least 1hr+ if you don't have a reservation. A lot of the seats are empty and they stayed empty an hour lat
The atmosphere is good and grill stuff are tasty. But other dishes way too salty and the waitress is not friendly…
Good izakaya for curry and skewers. We liked the beef curry, short rib skewer and chicken gizzard skewers. The short rib and chicken thigh skewers are super tenders. We arrived at 5 on a weekday and there’s no wait. We do see that almost all tables are reserved.
Really nice place and reasonable prices. Food was great and service was decent (though our server did not seem overly excited to be there). Can't ask for much more! Highly recommend the chicken liver and beef tongue skewers, as well as the beef bowl and spicy Japanese cucumber appetizer.
MAKE A RESERVATION!! We came here on a Tuesday night and it was so busy! We waited about 2 hours and finally our table was ready.. once we sat down the server informed us that they were out of a lot of items. It was about an hour before closing when we sat down. My friend and I ordered edamame, Aj
The food was great. Small skewers and portions but taste really good. The restaurant is small and noisy. Giving it a 4-star for great service and tasty food.
Busy place! Food was tasty and there was a good selection. Service was good, especially considering there were 10 of us at our table. Chicken skewers were $4 each and were quite small - I think 4 small pieces of chicken per skewer. I asked our server if what I ordered (2 chicken skewers and 2 pepper
super tasty yakitori, everything was delicious. highly suggest getting the omakase to try a bit of everything if you can’t decide. the beef in the beef bowl was soo tender and flavorful, i couldn’t stop eating it! definitely call for reservations a week in advance if you plan to dine during the wee
A nice place for yakitori! The quail eggs are to die for! Dining alone? No problem! Sit at the bar and order a variety of skewers at your choice! Roughly $2-3 per skewer and you have the choice of chicken gizzards, chicken hearts, chicken skin, chicken thigh, beef, pork belly(highly recommend!!!!),
I would like to give this place solid five starts for the best yakitori I have ever had. Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were there early enough that we were able to get two chairs at the bar, which probably were the worst in the restaurant, but the service and food absolutely made up f
Awesome food. You can order various types of skewers - meat, ribs, chicken, quail eggs, garlic, shrimp, etc. or full dishes. Everything we tried was awesome. The MUST try is the taco rice - a giant ball of white rice with sweet curry meat on top and an egg. They also have a huge selection of Japanes
The dine in was not at full capacity yet, so the waiting line could still be long. The daily special changes frequently. The skewer omakase is our must order even though the combination is usually the same. Among all skewers in omakase, mentaiko chicken was our favorite, which could not be found fro
Came here about 6pm on a Friday and barely squeezed in a table for two. There were lots of tables already reserved before we arrived, so note to self - try and call ahead if you want in. Even if you have to wait, it's definitely worth it. Staff is attentive to refill water or hot teas, and take o
This place is always busy which just speaks volumes. Being located in convoy street the hub for all Asian cuisine the restaurant is able to set itself apart by providing high quality food with a traditional Japanese ambiance. I always love coming here especially with a group of people so that we can
