New York Bagels

Quick morning pit stop where you can grab a bite and then show up as the office hero with a box of bagels! The half dozen bundle was a sweet deal and there are so many flavors to choose from! They even have Rainbow and chocolate chip bagels in addition to the usual everything and cheeses, etc. While I can’t attest for these tastes as they were gifts, what I ordered was the Reuben on Pumpernickel bagel, it was hot, crispy, and delicious. The man who appears to be the owner is a very nice guy. Ambiance is cozy with a clean bathroom.

We went to New York Bagels & Cafe while visiting San Diego. The staff was very friendly (welcomed us immediately when we entered) and welcoming. They have everything you would expect from a bagel shop. They have a wide variety of bagels and by far and away the coolest was the rainbow bagel (you can see a little of it in the dozen bagels picture). This was the favorite bagel of my children. I ordered the jalapeno cheese bagel and it was very good. The jalapenos offered the perfect amount of heat and the cream cheese balanced it. Pricing is average for a bagel place. The service is quick. You can take breakfast with you or dine in. They have a lot of seating and the area is very clean. We would definitely return to this place if we're in the area again.

This place is always great. I used to come here with my kids, and they loved it. The staff are always friendly. Great bagels and coffee. The kids could watch the bagels being cooked in the steamer, and there would be trays of just-cooked bagels. The place smells amazing, like a bakery I used to visit with my parents. Great service, too. Plenty of indoor seating, and an outdoor patio, too.
