Been wanting to try Taegukgi for awhile and finally visited on a weeknight with almost no wait. The open seating makes the restaurant feel really spacious, and they're really attentive to checking if you want more or need your grill changed. The side dishes and banchan are quite good - I definitely recommend the steamed egg. The spicy shrimp is also a standout. Not as inexpensive as some other nearby places but very worth the few extra dollars.

Taegukgi is still the best AYCE Korean BBQ places in the area. There's a lot of korean bbq restaurant now and I have tried some of them, they're good but nothing beats or levels with TGG yet. We prefer coming here for early lunch right when they open. Dinner gets a little bit crazy because this place is so popular. They give you large meat servings. My favorite is the beef belly and spicy pork belly. You should not miss the steamed eggs. It takes longer to get served because of the cooking process but please be patient. Their banchans (side dishes) all tastes good. The servers are very friendly and quick on their feet. They are also paying attention when your grill needs to get changed. Overall, we always leave with happy tummies!

My favorite place for Korean BBQ in SD. The food is absolutely amazing, but my favorite part is the service. The serving team came to check on us frequently while we were eating to make sure we didn’t need anything. Great place for dinner, lunch or a big party. Also, make sure to grab boba at The Korean Rose after!

This place was jamming! They said it wasn't as busy as normal, however place was full with people constantly coming and going since we put our name on the list (estimated wait was 60-75 minutes but only took 18 minutes to get seated), until we departed 8:10! Great options of meats, the flavored ones were on point (bulgogi), really good thin cuts, and very tasty sides. Staff were on it, from the waitress who was by no less than every 10 minutes to check on us and add food orders in, to the grill changers checking in about the same to ensure clean grilling, to the stealthy ninjas removing dishes from the table and adding new ones! Service was top notch for sure! They have a nice open space seating with tables that can easily accommodate larger parties, about 6 seats to a grill, some outside seating as well, had club style music playing -which wasn't bad but was really loud which made it a little harder for conversation, also had bar seating available with a wall of TV's up high in front on the bar -which was great to watch the Padreas and the Rockies play!

1st time patron. Loved the urban and sports bar like atmosphere! Music and big screen TVs are a big bonus to the vibrant ambience. All you can eat for up to 2hours($$$). Place was packed with groups waiting to be seated. Fresh meats and sides You cook yourself tableside. Meats could've been marinated longer before brought to table. Beef and seafood was tough and too chewy. Lacked succulents. Chicken strips and pork belly were delicious. Don't recommend the rice soup🤢...bland and flavorless. Soda machines were not functional...gave out flat tasting drinks. Customer service was pleasant and very friendly. Will have to try Taegukgi Korean BBQ again. The sides alone (great palate cleansers, Kimchee, perfectly made rice, potato salad and homemade garlic butter❤️‍🔥) are worth another trip😋

Came on a Tuesday at 6pm and was made to wait for 20 minutes even though there were tons of empty tables. I felt like the servers there kept checking in on us when we didn't need help, and when we actually wanted something, they were nowhere to be found, or ignored us. However, once we asked for service, they were quick to act. The all-you-can-eat KBBQ quality here is probably the best I've come across in SD, so I'd still highly recommend!
