Which Wich Superior Sandwiches

The sandwiches here are super tasty. I wish they had this place closer to where I live. My only complaint is that there was only one person on staff at the time there, so it ended up taking us a good half an hour to get some simple sandwiches made. He was super friendly and very apologetic about it, and the sandwiches definitely still tasted good, but that totally sucked that he was alone.

There was a time when Which Wich had this awesome system where you could actually build the sandwich you wanted. Grinder with a whole buncha options? No problem! Weird Elvis inspired peanut butter and turkey sandwich? If that’s what you’re into… And for the Wichers that wanted to share their experience, you could draw on the bag. But now you get this unfriendly, uninspired tablet that does not allow you to custom your sandwich unless you choose a basic BYO with no way to recreate the sandwich you loved. Sorry Which Wich… you’ve lost the way.

Very well organized. They are open for take out dining. All staff were working quickly to fill online and walk in orders. All staff wore masks and are behind clear screens. They there is plenty of space for customers waiting for their sandwiches to stand 6 feet apart. Customers must wear masks to enter and place an order. I recommend placing a pickup order by phone or app to minimize your wait time.

Which ‘Wich is a terrific sandwich shop. With over four hundred locations around the country, they have an extensive menu of made to order sandwiches and salads, and I love their sandwiches. The ordering process at the Hazard Center location was confusing. You have to find the right paper bag with the name of the sandwich on it, and then use the supplied sharpie to mark off what kind of cheese and condiments to include on your sandwich or salad. You present the bag to the cashier and pay. Then you wait. And wait. In the location near my home they have touch screen menus that are easier to navigate and place an order. I wish they had a standard preparation for every sandwich order, such as lettuce tomatoes onions mayo and/or a special sauce, because the ordering process would be faster, and the made to order sandwiches would be prepared more quickly. I waited nine minutes for my sandwich with just one person in front of me. I can’t imagine the chaos when they’re busy. I LOVE their ‘Wicked’ sandwich, with five meats and three cheeses. Try it! Regardless of the shortcomings, I’ll seek out this chain because the sandwiches are great and tasty, and far superior to Subway and most other chains. We were driving around San Diego after picking up our exchange student, looking for a place to eat. We pull up to Which Wich and open the door. Carlos and Davian are behind the counter when I ask what time they close. Carlos said 8:30pm was the closing time and we arrived at 8:29pm. He and Davian welcomed us to come in anyways. They helped us with our order and were incredibly warm and patient with us. Not only were the sandwiches Davian made delicious, the reception, generosity, and helpfulness is what I'm giving 5 stars for. Thanks for being so awesome Carlos and Davian! The world would be incredible if more people like you were around.
