Excellent pork dishes, soup, and flan! A meal of our favorites is the Pernil de Puerco entree, house soup, toasted garlic bread, a side of ripe fried plantains, and flan for dessert. This is the best authentic Cuban/Puerto Rican restaurant I've found in San Diego. I have yet to find another restau
My wife blurted out of the blue that she wanted to try Cuban food. I searched the San Diego area and found this place so we gave it a try. Neither of us had ever tried Cuban food before, so it was a bit of an adventure for us. We knew that plantains were a staple in Cuban cuisine and wanted to tr
Best Arroz Con Pollo in the City! Very authentic. Absolutely love this place. It's small and romantic. Family owned. I've been going there for over 10 years and it's nice to still see the same freindly faces every time I go...and it's super affordable!
Awesome, down home, Caribbean cooking. Healthy portions at a very reasonable price. Great service with a smile. I'll go back again and again.
1st time here and we ❤️ loved it, food, service all very very good !! Definitely coming back !
Recommendation = 100%
Btw... here again for The 2nd time and lovin’ it ! I forgot to mention that they also play nice 🎶 music 🎼
So I haven't been here in a bit but refer people here all the time. I've been coming to this restaurant since the late 90's and I've always enjoyed the atmosphere. Also to see the same friendly faces...the Brazilian hostess whose name I always forget, who unfortunately wasn't here today and Alfonso
Walked in and you're welcomed with a smile and once through the doors you're greeted with the sweet aroma of garlic. So far, the drive here and requested the mofongo (only made on Sundays) was worth it. The staff said yes!!! And we just walked in!!! Found this gem on Instagram and so happy we opted
great tasting food on point! no leftovers! will definitely come back for more.
Amazing!!! Just move to San Diego and I was missing Puerto Rico and nothing better to remind me of home than food! I order pollo a la plancha (chicken) plate y pernil (pork) plate for me in my husband both came with delicious rice and they even gave us curtesy garlic bread! We picked it up and eat i
Every visit @ Andres is very enjoyable. The salmon was delish! Best salmon I ever had. My 2 friends enjoyed their 1st visit at Andrés. Employee Jose was funny!
the food was absolutely delicious, amazing service, 10/10 experience
The food was amazing !
I had a pork sandwich with plantains as bread
and my husband had a rice and squid dish with squid ink sauce 🐙
A solid food menu up and down. Right on flavor and and the portions are worth the PRICE! You won't be left unsatisfied. Excellent and friendly customer service! Comfortable for dinning in. I usually order ahead for take-out. Definetly try (or repeat) this spot for the closest to the islands as we ha
I got the Bistec of the lunch menu. It was the best skirt steak I have ever had. The flavor was great and it was so juicy, not dry at all even a little bit. The grilled onions on top were delightful. The Cuban rice with olives and capers was amazing and new to me. Go check them out!
We were looking for a Cuban restaurant during our visit to San Diego and we found this gem. Combo appetizer platter gave a little of something to try. Portions were perfect. So much to choose from.
Only thing that could be better is shrimp being offered on the menu. Like a Camaron enchilado plate. But since its mainly a banquet place the menu is limited. They do offer a reasonable lunch menu. Parking is limited. Food is served quickly and its clean.
Excellent service and good food. We had a few appetizers and my favorite was the alcapurrias. I would've liked to see more meat in those and the papas rellenas. The Cuban sandwich was pretty big and yummy! Oh and the cheese flan was just how we like it!
