The Habit

I really dont understand why sub par burger joints like in n out get so much hype when the habit is WAY better. There is honestly no comparison between the two. The burgers AND fries are better than all other burger places 100%. The only honest contender would be five guys but their prices are higher. I love the Habit!

I rounded up to 5 from 4.5. Decent burger, good bacon, you can add avocado, they have pickled jalapeños, but……….only gross plasticky cheese. Also the credit card machine asks for a minimum 15% tip which is weird because tipping is a way of saying thanks for good service after a waiter brings you a correct order…..and they don’t have waiters. The service is the same as any burger place like McDonalds etc.

This place is super pricey it cost me $3 just to change my drink to a milkshake but the milkshake is bomb. I came with about six friends I ordered came out pretty fast. The fries were delicious and so was the milkshake. I got the charburger. The hamburger wasn't the greatest it was burn on the outside and pink on the inside and I like my food while done. All together it was a fun experience.

Top Notch Place went there yesterday for the first time thought well this is probably just some overpriced burger place but turns out you just get to order things your way that does make things more expensive like.. if you try to do it yourself at the kiosk and you want to add sweet potato fries to your combo you can't. You must add each item individually. Which makes it about 50 more cents then the regular combo but if you can't figure out the kiosk the people at the front are very very knowledgeable and kind. The food came out fast and they have a little jalapeno bar! How cool is that with cups that have lids and well stocked straws and utensils. It was clean so I will definitely come back you have a new Patron.

I haven't had Habit Burger in ages since the last time I went to Los Angeles way back in 2014. As soon as I found out that they are also here in San Diego, I immediately hit the closet one up. I love their hamburgers and their fries are always amazing! The customer service is wonderful and my food came out quick and piping hot. I love the fact that they have jalapenos and even Worstershire sauce available with other awesome condiments. I know everyone here keeps overhyping In and Out, but with a little more coin, you get a better meal and better experience.

I ordered a cheeseburger, tempura green beans with siracha dipping sauce and a coke. Order came out pretty quick. I thought the burger was a bit small; big guy like me might need a double. Green beans were a nice change from french fries. I enjoyed the little peppers they offer (up front where the other condiments are located) It was good; but not better than Shake Shack.. maybe ties with In&Out Burger..depending on your preferences. Service was good, place was clean. (edit) I went a 2nd time and had a double burger, fries and a milkshake. Everything was good again and the milkshake was really good!

Great value for great quality food. Really nice burgers. We had them in a lettuce wrap and they were well presented and tasted great. (Sometimes this style can be hard to eat if they don’t wrap them well!) Really clean restaurant. Would definitely go back and try something else off their menu. There was a good selection.
