Royal India

Had a negative experience at their location in Gaslamp so was a little hesitant to come here, but SO GOOD!!! Ordered the Baingan Bharta (Togo) to try because we wanted to place an order for a potluck party, and we loved it! Really perfectly cooked, just the right about of spicy, and not too oily either. My first time having baingan bharta (but my husband has had it before while growing up in India) and we both loved it! Ended up ordering 2 portions for the party, and even friends enjoyed. Came with rice in the side, and we appreciate that it was a jeera rice (not plain). Even the rice was good on its own!

Our Diwali Party at Royal India, Miramar was truly a royal and a memorable experience. We enjoyed a beautiful sit-down dinner. The tables were not only reserved but also beautifully decorated for our Private Diwali Event. The food was so flavorful and aromatic. Every dish was infused with aromatic herbs and spices; flavors and textures. Royal India offers a warm, welcoming ambience, friendly staff and an authentic taste of Indian cuisine. Our party/dining experience was so grand and spectacular. The service, the ambience, the decor, the music and the food, everything was so above and beyond. We are so looking forward to hosting our future events at The Royal, Royal India.

Came here with my parents for lunch on Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't too busy so we were sat right away. My parents were in the mood for Indian food so I thought to bring them here because it's nice and roomy and the food is good. They were voted one of the top Indian foods in San Diego so they do have good food. Soon as you walk in you could get the whiff of the spices cooking in the kitchen. What a pleasant smell. Of course we had to get their chicken tikka masala and the vindaloo shrimp. We started with some vegetable samosa and some mango lassi. The mango Lassie was so refreshing and comforting with a burst of mango flavor. This came out hot and fresh. The entrees were just as good as the drinks and appetizer. The tikka masala was rich and creamy and the vindaloo was packed with flavor. My parents were quite satisfied. Everyone here was so friendly and was always asking if we needed anything. Will definitely come back again.

We had our wedding reception at Royal India and it was an amazing experience! The decor, food, DJ, and table set up was great! Sam was so helpful in planning and ensuring we would not have to do or stress about anything the day of our party. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All of our guests loved the food!

food here is absolutely good..we ordered butter tharka kofta,paneer naan chilli naan, onion naan and potato cauliflower pakora..samosa chat ..paneer tikka kabab.. everything was good..tharka kofta and chilli naan were best among all..i ll rate 4 starts for thier food alone..but the service was tad slow..and the not very attentive too..we had to wait for about 20 mins for them to take order and food takes somemore time to arrive too..also we had remind three times to bring a extra spoon..no one came to refill water too..though the food is very good the price is very expensive compared to the restaurants which offers same kind of food.. ** update** The food is still good and the service is improved very well today. It was quick and attentive . Tried paneer kabob,samosa chat,tharka kofta and onion chilli naan. Even the texture of rice is improved and good than previous few times.
