Pho Ca Dao

Sometimes a meal just matches your mood exactly. The vegetable tofu pho was so nourishing and clean tasting, great flavor and fresh veggies. The lemongrass grilled rib eye was deep and rich and hardy, and the grilled chicken spring roll we're freshly made, the grilled chicken was slightly smoky perfectly complemented by the hoison sauce. Just a great meal.

Many years ago I had lived in San Diego (SD), I've visited the Mira Mesa location when it had just opened. I was there again on a vacation visit just a few days ago driving down from my current home up here in the San Francisco bay area (Fremont). Duke, the owner is sincerely phenomenal. The food is consistently amazing! On each visit I make it a point to drop by and say hello to Duke... and have another seafood phở soup!! I'm moving off now to Europe in three weeks time, when I return back to the United States on a visit, I will be sure to revisit yet once again! Food is awesome especially it's getting cooler now. Staff have big hearts here. They helped my goddaughter from a freak accident near the place,they called 911 ASAP and they made sure that she was safe when the paramedics took her to the hospital. We can't thank them enough for the fast-action they did kudos to all the staff and management of this restaurant.

I've been to a few Pho Ca Dao locations since the National City location is my vietnamese FIL's favourite restaurant. This one has a bit more modern feel with a smaller, approachable menu and some other options like several appetizers and banh mi. The service was a little slow but good, and we really enjoyed the food. The vietnamese coffee is great and is served cafe style. While I prefer the City Heights location, I really liked this experience. Their che ba mau is especially good. Definitely a good choice if you want a more relaxed, laid back meal too

We love this place! We went to Pho Ca Dao at Mission Valley before. The decorations in Mission Valley is newer and more modern, we also love they have a full bar there. But this one only serves beer. It’s fine because the foods here are as delicious as the one in Mission Valley, we ordered a shrimp spring roll, a vermicelli salad bowl, and an oxtail pho soup. We enjoyed all the food. If you haven’t tried this place, you have to. I think they are one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in SD. Plus their service is nice, they have a cute robot server!
