Mr. Ruriberto's Taco Shop

Interesting history of the 🌮 shop (Mr. Ruribertos) that was established in the 1950's and across from "Belmont Park". Great food, amazing staff of professionals that quickly get your food ordered, prepared and cooked quickly, but it is a little pricey; do to the tourist Attractions of #MissionBeach. Thanks for the experience and friendship.

Mr. Ruribertos is at Mission Beach, right across from the Giant Dipper at Belmont Park. It was fairly crowded, even at 11am. That said, I had the Carne Asada Burrito with fries! The food was delicious, and the portions were enormous! (I only ate half my Burrito and we shared the fries.) All reasonably priced!! And, surprisingly, we didn't have to wait for our order very long despite how crowded it was. All in all, it was a great day at the beach!

I did not what to expect as far as the quality of food would be but I was definitely blown away. Yes those were the best fish tacos I've ever had and I've tried many! And they were not small either. Good bang for your buck. I made the mistake of ordering 3 thinking they would be tiny but they were very large and filling! My wife's chilaquiles were very good to! It might be by a tourist spot but don't let that shun you away from trying this spot. There is some indoor seating but not a lot but we got lucky and found a seat when we went.

We ate here on vacation and it soooo satisfied our hunger for real California Mexican food. Our kids loved their huge burritos so much. We came back multiple times while in Mission Bay area. The carnitas taco and Bandito burrito were amazing! The guys running the restaurant were also so great! Have a Mango Jarritos with your meal as well. Yum!

Right next to the boardwalk at Mission Beach! I'm sure that store has been there for nearly 3 decades. You go for the surrounding scenery and for the convenience. Carne asada tastes identical to Filiberto's and has that same cube shape. Not my fav. A California burrito and med horchata came out to $18. The service was pleasant, I feel welcomed and treated kindly by the staff. There are better taco shops, but Mr. Ruriberto's is far from bad especially when you consider the other factors. To get some food and go to the beach to catch the sunset is something special.

Stopped by before 8am on a weekday. The Horchata? Pretty weak. Both my buddy and I noted on the watery consistency. Flavor, fine. But definitely not enough milky/yogurt texture. Fish taco? Solid piece of fried fish. They didn’t have any tacos so we went with with the corn tortilla. The burrito with egg, bacon, and potato? Solid. For the price? We spent $22 for four items. Kind of expensive but for the value, it’s good. It’s really a high 3 star but I’ll give this place a generous 4 star.
