This is the real deal. Prices are reasonable, service is fast. The food quality is, in my opinion excellent. All the ingredients are really high quality, the margarita with buffalo mozzarella is amazing. I have been to Naples and had pizza at a few of the original restaurants there. This lives up. the crust is on point, chewy but also toasted on the outside. I regret that I did not learn about this place earlier, we just started eating here during the pandemic.

Fantastico! My professoressa introduced our class to this restaurant and we had such a great time. The food was so good it's become my top choice for pizza. I went back the following week and I can't wait to go again!

As a New Yorker, eating pizza in San Diego has been a painful experience. BUT THIS PIZZA HERE IS AMAZING. During quarantine I looked through pictures of 10 pizzerias because you can tell a LOT about a pizza by looking at the crust and just by looking at Bruno's crust I knew I found a gem. The crust was amazing as I knew it would be. Three days later we still had so much pizza left, we reheated it in the oven and it tasted fresh. New favorite pizza place!!

Bruno pizzeria is fantastic. They have really good prices for a handmade pizza to share. You could definitely have 3 people and be full off a salad and pizza. If you've ever been to Paris or France this will remind you of the pizzas you can get in all the cafes. We really like their pesto and margarita pizzas and keep coming back for their ceasar salad. You won't be disappointed with the friendly service either. We forgot our left overs on the table one time and the waiter chased us down the street tp make sure we got it. That's A+ service in my book!

Delicious Neapolitan-style pizza! We've visited a lot of restaurants that serve this style of pizza, and this restaurant was right up there with our other two favorites, 2 Amys in Washington DC and The Backspace in Austin, both of which taste like the best pizza in Naples, Italy. The only thing I wish was that there wasn't such a steep markup ($5) to substitute mozzarella di bufala on the pizza, but it's worth it (especially if you enjoy simpler pizza flavors like the margherita, which is what I always order). That said, I'm not very sad about that since I'd guess that the alternative is to not offer a cheaper option for someone who doesn't care about getting the flavor exactly right (like my son who asked for "cheese pizza"). And the pizzas turned out to be a bit larger than the plate-sized ones they serve at our favorite restaurants in Austin and Washington DC (instead it was a larger plate size, so we actually took home leftovers), so the value might still be somewhat comparable. I'd say a single pizza is good for one person; you'll finish it if you're really hungry, or else have a couple of leftover pieces if you're not. If you're in doubt when you go, I strongly recommend giving the mozzarella di bufala a try at least once, as it's just heavenly on the margherita when combined with the basil, the crushed tomato sauce, and the light semolina flour crust. FYI it will seem really juicy on top; it's supposed to be that way and that's part of what makes it so flavorful (start off with a fork and knife if you're worried about its dripping). If you're less of a margherita fan or you'd like some other flavors to mask your not getting the mozzarella di bufala markup, my husband tried the polpette and loved it. We definitely plan to return the next time we're in San Diego.

Just returning back from Italy we were craving Napoli style pizza. After trying just about every pizza place in San Diego I can wholeheartedly say this is the best for Napoli style pizza. We've eaten here about 10 times and each time the pizza is constantly delicious. Having tried every pizza on the menu my favorite is the polpette with goat peppers. The ingredients are fresh, the pizza is amazing and the service is consistent. Thanks for creating a neighborhood stable for amazing pizza! 🍕

The breadsticks are a must. These are the best bread sticks I've eaten. Went with the mozzarella salad and that was fantastic. This place is a must stop.

Good traditional Napolitano style pizza - hand-stretched, not rolled. Bruno's have a beautiful high temperature (900 F!) oven and pizzas are cooked very fast with slightly burned crust and bubbly texture. For me the rim remains a bit too doughy, but altogether a tasty pie. I am not sure where they get their mozzarella but it tastes great with the soft, velvety feel of the fior di latte Southern Italy tradition. The house burrata served with ripe tomatoes (pomodori) is a must! The restaurant has a Thursday night special, when the Margheritas are $10 a pop. Good choice of beers and some Italian wines as well. One of the hood's favorites.
