Pizzeria Luigi

Best NYC pie this side of the Hudson. Thin, flavorful "cracker" crust. Plenty of flavors that in combos are fan-fricken-tastic. Been coming to Luigi's since he came to San Diego way back when (and after he left Bronx Pizza and figured out what they were missing when it came to NYC pizza). Cal ones and salads are decent too. Staff hustles with tons of orders so give 'em a break. They's the best. I really liked when they started out in Golden Hill with The Daily Scoop sharing the space. Great to follow up with ice cream afterwards. That option is no more but the atmosphere is still fun and you can find decent ice cream elsewhere. Plenty of beers on tap and they now take cards for payment (not always the case).

This place was recommended by one of the locals. This was a really good place! I was skeptical of this pizza tasting good because the pizza is already out and they throw it in the oven when you order. But to my surprise, this pizza was really really good! Atmosphere was great! My only complaint was that the stickers that are placed on the fountain drinks make it challenging to distinguish a couple fountain drinks. Also, the garlic bread is fantastic! If I ever come down to San Diego again, this is somewhere I'd revisit and definitely a place I'd recommend. Great job guys! 👏

Luigi's is the pizza that you can't miss if you visit San Diego. It gets really crowded but man.. worth the wait. The selection of beer is decent, but I was surprised by the can selection for local breweries. Best New York style Pizza for sure. buffalo chicken and the Pesto Cheese are on my top flavors. Did I mention they are open late? 😉 🍕

I have never had a bad slice from this place and I'm pretty sure I have tried most if not all of their creations. But if pizza isnt your thing everything else on the menu is top notch as well. They have a great selection of local craft beverages as well to enjoy while picking your favorite tunes on the jukebox.
