Au Revoir French Bistro - San Diego - Photo album

Au Revoir French Bistro was a fun experience. I tried a few things for the first time in my life, which I really enjoy. I had Escargot served with bread and seasoning. It was good tasting but I would rather have the Calamari, which I also ordered. I also had Bone Marrow served "in" the bone with sea
I don't know a lot about French cuisine but we liked the two entrees we ordered and cleaned out our plates. We ordered two entrees only since it was lunch time and we don't usually over order .All the food was delicious to us and the service was very courteous and friendly. The ambience was pretty
We made a reservation for 5/5:30pm on a Saturday. We were the first patrons there and within the next hour or two there was a full restaurant. The Plateau de fromages (cheese & accoutrements platter) was fun to share. We also shared a Salade du bistro. The candied nuts in the salad were amazing! W
Had a very nice time here! While the service was good and the food was good, I believe I went a little too early (5:30ish) and it felt too empty. It was made up for though with a fantastic (and large) rack of lamb and a decent but afforable wine list!
A nice French restaurant. Their baguette is really good. I had mushroom raviolis.
We tried this cute little French restaurant in our neighborhood recently, it was ok. We went around 530 thinking we would catch a happy hour. On their website it said they had happy hour I believe from 4 to 6 PM but when we arrived we found out that was old information and they no longer have any ha
A nice choice for an elevated French dining experience within the confines of Hillcrest, this place does a decent job of providing a nice experience. The food was cooked well, though the scallops just needed a hint of salt as the rest of the meal was absolutely great. Loved the mushroom filling on t
We dined on a week day so it was pretty quiet. They offered a 3-course menu as well as the ala carte menu. I can never say no to branzino so I really enjoyed my meal. The french onion soup was superb, flavorful and filled with lots on onion. My dinner partner had the duck confit and was a bit disap
Lovely food, lamb was soft and moist, cooked and seasoned wonderfully. Who would've thought lavender went so well with fries? And the escargot has plenty of garlic and herbs, not chewy at all. Service was attentive and friendly without being annoying. There isn't much to say about ambience, it was a
Nice little french bistro on Hillcrest. We made a reservation for 8 at 4:30 pm but we thought could get in early, but that day they opened at exactly 4:30pm so we where the 1st in and had the place all to ourselves, but it got busy very fast. They have a great menu and very good wines. We had the Mo
Pleasant bistro serving traditional French fare in the heart of Hillcrest. The lavender fries are a must-try. They are crispy, salty and floral - very unique, and it totally works. The steak frites au poivre came with a thick, rich sauce with peppercorns and caramelized onions and was pleasantly sal
I love the onion soup, duck salad, and the selection of French and California wines at Au Revoir. The food and service at this petite French Bistro has always been very good, and I try to stop in for dinner whenever I'm in Hillcrest.
Good happy hour. We go for the escargot. Updated 7/7/23: Last night we went again. It was so good. We had French for dinner at Au Revoir, a perfect place for dogs! Their service and food were spectacular! ❤️ Bisous! ❤️ Our waiter Sergio was awesome, so friendly and attentive.
Came here for V day. The service was horrible but there was only one waitress on the floor covering 30-40 tables. Not her fault. The puff pastry ontop of the escargot were inedible. Not sure if they were for decoration or what but you literally could not chew them. It resembled a bottlecap. my bee
We just came in for a bottle of wine after dinner. It was great and reasonably priced. Cute and relaxing atmosphere. I will try again if we are in the area.
Cozy French restaurant with decent prizes I had the creamy mussels and steak with frites, well cooked and seasoned. Parking is a bit of a hassle if local parking is full. Wine selection is good but I ended up drinking an IPA.
Best days to go is on Thursday! The hosts/waiter there is very polite, attentive, and welcoming... and the beef bourgeoisie *chefs kiss*
The place is a small little bistro within a little plaza. Parking is very limited but we got lucky and some people were leaving. We came just to try Escargot! We ended up getting the lavender fries, cheese plate, along with the escargot. All was amazing, though I felt there was too much butter with
