Umi Sushi - San Diego - Photo album

Me and my husband love Umi Sushi. For us is the best sushi in town. We don't go to another place to eat sushi. Umi is always our go to. The sushi is amazing so much flavor and huge, prices are the best one you can find for much more sushi. The location is incredible next to shelter island.
We have been coming here for years and the food is always delicious. I highly recommend the crazy boy roll and the citrus albacore roll. The orange chicken is yummy and the baked green mussels are a household favorite
Good food for a very fair price. Food portions are a good value. Awesome service.
Food is good, we had the Umi Tower, Crazy Boy roll, and the Crispy Shrimp Wonton appetizer. For drinks we had Strawberry Nigori, Hot Sake, and a Sapporo draft. The service was a bit lackluster, the server terse and inattentive. We also wanted to hide romantically in the back, and we're informed that
Delicious food, laid back atmosphere, friendly service. Centrally located in Point Loma, it's easy to get to which is nice. This isn't a tourist trap, however, mostly frequented by locals. Great specials daily and a decent happy hour during the week. Definitely recommend.
I really enjoyed my dinner here. The service was great. They had a great variety of fish. I lived in Okinawa Japan for a little bit and I have had a hard time finding a sushi place in the area that meets my new standards. Umi sushi impressed myself and my husband and we will definitely be back.
Great place! Sushi are pretty good but we really liked the Teriyaki and Katsu chicken. Large portion and tasty sauce. Kids menu are great and very generous. Service is friendly. Will go back!
Fire the waitresses and start over. We live on Shelter Island, and the on going joke about this place is about the angry or indifferent waitresses. Sometimes they act like they speak English, sometimes they just contemptuously stare at you. Best bet at this place is to sit at the bar. Sushi chef
Really good and fresh sushi and rolls. The rolls are pretty big and the price is reasonable. Love the sushi bar and would love to try the sushi boat next time! Chef is very nice and friendly.
I live in the Bay Area and nothing compares to Umi sushi. I cannot believe the quality and price. I pay twice as much in SF for a lot less. I always come back to Umi when I’m in SD.
Ambiance is very nice. Clean, plenty of seating. Sushi rolls and entrees are very generous proportions. Prices really good too!
The rolls are fresh and large… Don’t order too many rolls or you will be stuffed and will be sporting a to go box home. Real crab in the rolls. Great service. Clean dining experience with great table service and comfortable booths. Get the dragon roll!
Sshhhhh…don’t tell anyone, but this is a really great sushi restaurant. There is a reason why the locals keep coming back.
My favorite place in SD for sushi! Great portion size, friendly people, fast service. Umi tower is the best dish.
The wait staff was excellent and the sushi was better! Lol. The food was fresh. Good wine and beer selection. We ordered the Philadelphia Roll and California Roll. I loved the salmon and "Krab." Husband ordered the wonderful Poke salad, Miso soup, Edemame and Sashimi board with tuna, salmon and grou
Amazing food! Excellent quality and taste is off the charts delicious. The rolls are yuuuuuuge and bring your appetite too. I’ll definitely be back. Ciao.
This place is awesome! Price is worth the amount of sushi! Recommend sit at the sushi bar, make friends with the cool sushi chef's, Johnny is great and very friendly! (He made the food in the photos!) Fast service and amazing fish, will return again and again! 💙
