CLOSED forever. All liquor has been moved to Urge a few doors down. The website is still active. Don’t even try.

Brooks and Aaron made our day. They do so well at crating the best atmosphere. Sophie’s our usual server and she always knows the best drinks.

Another great visit , great service, upbeat, and helpful staff. Food was served with a smile, hot and cold when ordered that way. We will continue to be customers and spread the word about this establishment. We recommend the barrel 100%

This local wine bar has a great selection of wine with indoor and outdoor seating. The food comes from a neighboring partnered restaurant that has a good selection of choices. The brisket sandwich was decent although I personally thought more of the fat could have been trimmed from the meat. A dinner for two with a glass of wine each came out to just over $100, as is to be expected from a wine bar dinner venue. We went at 730 on a Saturday and there was plenty of open seats available with no wait. The server was very friendly and accommodating to our few minor request. This is a cozy and quieter spot to take a date or have a casual dinner where you can hear the other person talking without lots of loud noise or conversations around you.

Sometimes good sometimes not. I get stake fries, rare. Most of the time they are not. Hubby gets lamb chops, says they are delicious, veggies are usually cold. We like the place, but not very consistent. Also a little pricey.

Great food and a good atmosphere. Server was very friendly. Having the two different menus (one nicer, one more casual) is odd but fine. Definitely will be back!

Good food and a nice outdoor patio when the weather is good - which is pretty much every day in San Diego! Their lunches are good value but dinners are somewhat expensive for what you're getting. The wine selection and the atmosphere make it a good place for dates, so that probably part of what the dinner pricing is for. Not a bad choice for a business lunch or lunch date if you're already in the area.

We came as the first table on Sunday noon for lunch. They share the kitchen with Urge so you have more food options which is nice. I ordered a Fig & Pear pizza with a salad on the side and my husband ordered a Brisket Dip with soup on the side. Both foods flavors are nice. The only issue was my pizza’s dough is slightly undercooked on the side. I told the waitress and they waived the cost for pizza for us! That’s unexpected but they are really friendly to us. We left a nice tip for them, as they were very nice and their foods taste pretty decent.

The Brisket sandwich was really good, especially with the dip, but I felt the mac and cheese and garlic fries were both average. We also had a Burger of the Gods, which had good flavor, but I thought might have been a tad overpriced.. or maybe that's just what a burger costs now after inflation. This place is owned by the same owner as the gastropub nextdoor and does not have their own kitchen, they share one with the pub. I don't feel that effects the quality of the service or food though, but it does mean that the doors stay open so the servers can come in and out easily. Not a huge deal, but I am warm blooded pansy, and I was cold the whole time. They did have some space heaters running and it seemed to help. The decor and ambiance is perfect for middle aged women who just got done with yoga, or maybe a second marriage.
