🍖 Delicious! First and foremost: is this a place worth going to, or stopping in to eat at as you pass on the freeway? Resounding YES. We visited at the start of June 2022- walked along from the Super 8, about a mile and half along Hotel Circle, arrived at ~2030 and were seated. Skipped appetisers and went straight for the steaks! The bread roll and butter were a bit sweet for my taste but this didn't detract from the experience at all. The Steak Neil (pictured) done medium rare was delicious, and the ribeye (also pictured) done rare had a great texture. We each had a glass of red which both paired really well. I have no hesitation in recommending Hunter Steakhouse if you're looking for a decent steak.

Absolutely amazing. The calming ambiance, the wonderful server and the delicious food. The steak was perfect, the lobster mushrooms were so good. The calamari was tender but crispy! The potato skins are so good. The salad with the cutest little dressing dispensers. The butter came with its own candle to keep it warm and melted!!! And the bottle of wine was just the Cherry on top.
We had Scully as a waiter and can’t even express how amazing he was. Would go back just for him even if the food was bad. He worked so hard, he was kind and interacted the perfect amount. We loved him!
The location was interesting, I’m from out of town so thought it was kind of hiding but once we pulled into the parking lot the cute wooden look is so inviting and you can smell the grill from outside! ❤️❤️❤️ Wonderful night

Great place to eat with many great choices for appetizers, salads, seafood, steak, prime rib, and dessert. We ate here for dinner on Sunday, January 26, 2020, and sat at a cozy table in the bar next to the fireplace. Welcoming, friendly, efficient staff. They had a special menu for restaurant week that my husband ordered from that included a choice of appetizer, salad, entree, side, and dessert all for $40. I ordered Jumbo Beer Battered Shrimp and Shrimp Cocktail from the regular menu. All the food tasted exceptional and we had a wonderful time. We will be back again soon!

It was great! I haven't been here in a while, and it was better than I remember. The staff was great from the hostess to the waiter. Great food, great drinks, loved it and can't wait to be back.
This is written the first day restaurants were due to open. All of the staff wore gloves and mask the entire time. The tables are spread out for distancing. The only thing I noticed is they didn't have digital or disposable menus, but I think that's the only thing they didn't follow. If they still don't have the correct menus, just try not to touch and wash your hands - no big. And tip big! Support our San Diego family.

Good steak place. The outside look of the place looks outdated for me but the interior looks nice. We were a group of 11. Having a big group, we were seated after approximately an hour and a half. We occupied a private space at the second level which was a treat because we have privacy. The steaks and starters are great but the kid's meal are not the best. The French Fries are saltier than it should. Aside from the steaks, I personally liked the stuffed mushrooms and the calamari with a hint of spice. Service is regal and above my expectations. It was an overall nice experience that added texture to our family vacation.

I really enjoyed what my party got for their entree. One got a filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and tasted super tender and juicy. Another got the chicken and sundried tomatoes which had lots of flavor and was a huge portion. I got the salmon, which was cooked well, but just lacked the flavor I was expecting. Might have been good with a caper sauce or something along that line.

Came here for restaurant week, sirloin steak w/ vegetables, shrimp cocktail for a very reasonable price. Steak was well done, however taste wise (not sure if special deal played a part in quality) was 7/10. Dessert, cocktail was great, we were greeted and served 10/10. I'd still recommend this place

We felt so lucky to have found this place. It was right next to our hotel. We took our oldest son who'd just graduated Marine boot camp and was very ready for se delicious food lol and the rest of our family for lunch. There was almost nobody there. The outside looked really rustic and we weren't sure what to expect. Inside was a very cool restaurant! The waiter was incredibly friendly and personable. The food was great, all 7 of us were happy with our food ( that's saying something with 4 kids at the table). It was delicious and looked beautiful when they served it. Would definitely go out of my way on another trip to go there

Ended up here for a last minute Thanksgiving dinner and we were not disappointed! The food was great and the staff was very kind!

Meal service was slow for being 8pm. However it was worth the wait. The prime rib was worthy of the hype. It was a generous size for being called 12 oz and it was nicely cooked with a herb crust. The jus and horseradish sauce were on the mark as well. And given how good it was, the price was a bargain as well. The decor was dated but I suspect many enjoyed meals were had in that space.

The cajun lamb chop appetizers are melt in your mouth to die for. The NY strip steak was cooked to absolute perfection. Due to virus they had outdoor dining which was really wonderful. I didn't have reservations so we had to wait only 20 minutes so not bad at all. Location is so close to everything.

Good soup. Solid ribs. 2-3 hour prebaked. Sauced and cooked on order. No smoke. Loved the flourless chocolate cake.

Decided on a whim to return to Hunter Steakhouse for some chow. Pretty sure it was early '80s my first time there.
Seated quickly, and provided Bread & Water immediately..(sounds funny, bread & water, okay nevermind my wit.)
Torn between the fresh catch of the day (Halibut) and my goto steak...Filet Mignon!
Steak it is. Went with steak and vegetable medly...
Chose side sala with oil and vinegar....love how they bring out the salad "bar" to table to prepare it for you, many options in circle to "yay or nay). So salad is exactly as you want it....Myself, when at onions, i said all of them...i call it the Divorce amount of onions, hehe).
Steak cooked exactly the way i wanted, and asked and recieved the medley lightly cooked. (Swear i am not high maintenance). Cannot eat steak without horse radish (cream & raw...don't go there! Hah)
Anyhoo, i recommend a chow trip here!

This place was yummy! Very nice environment. My filet minion was cooked perfectly and filled me up! Dine in is 3 stories, plenty of space.Cons, no music and their parking lot is tight to get in and was full. Be careful!

We ordered dinner for take out and had a dinner picnic. The food was good and the flavor was great. There were way too many mushrooms in my dish, which made it overwhelming. I would definitely return, when I'm back in the area. -Regina

This was a great choice for dinner and had no regrets. I felt like some salmon but also wanted a steak so they worked with me. They offered a reduced size piece of salmon and with the steak this made for great dinner that hit the spot. The waiter never let my drink hit the bottom so I made sure he got his tip.
