Donovan's Steak And Chop House - San Diego - Photo album

Stopped by Donovan's last night for happy hour. We were greeted and sat promptly after entering. Our martinis we ordered were some of the best. They have great bartenders that know what their doing. We had the cheese plate and calamari which were standard and tasted fine. They served small cheesest
Really good steak! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. We had no problems getting in with a large party either. Really accommodating. And the tiramisu was perfect!
We were wondering around the Gaslamp District in San Diego, wondering where to eat. I was looking for a BWW, but my wife decided to try out Donovan's, because of the reviews she had read as we were walking around. I was of the opinion that it would be really expensive and not that much better than o
We went here because we saw a review on the Food Network's "Best Thing I Ever Ate"...we were really hoping to try the CheeseSteak sandwiches during Happy Hour. Unfortunately, they are no longer given out. Fortunately, the Food and drink we had was incredible. I had the Stone IPA and my wife had a Do
Great place to eat. Best steak in the USA and it comes with the best service in town. If you don't want meat the Salmon is incredible. Their wine selection is second to none and you don't like what they have they will let you bring yours for a corking fee.
My first time at Donovan's. We arrived mid-week without reservations (there were 4 of us). That was not an issue for them. The ambiance is great, turned down lighting, dark wood, linen tablecloths. The menus have a back light to assist in reading the menu! Service was prompt and professional.
When it comes to a top notch steak experience there isn't anyone who does it better from a high level multi restaurant point. I've been to Ruth's Chris and Morton's but Donovan's is a touch above and delivers excellent food with exceptional service. I love dining here and celebrating my daughters bi
I took my husband here for his birthday and it was the best move. I wish I could swim in the garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was like butter, really, you only needed a butter knife to cut it! Super nice and knowledgeable servers. Great ambiance. A def must.
If you want to pay 2030s prices for 1950s food this is your place. Food very was good, but nothing was amazing. An extremely lacking beer list in San Diego? How you cannot put together a decent 5 or 10 beers on draft in SD is beyond me. Service gets 5 stars though. Great service. Raising my review
Amazing food. Everything was perfect. Light up menus, I loved. All of the spirits were pleasant, as well as each employee. Very professional and personable. They served a very pleasant evening. I'd consider the steakhouse high-end, yet, not too overpriced. Kudos to everyone at Donovan's for all thei
