It had been quite some time since I’d last visited Arrivederci but I remembered loving the food. That hasn’t changed with this visit. We went for a work lunch the other day and were served by Giuseppe, a true Italian who conversed in Italian with one of my coworkers. He was warm and friendly while providing excellent service. I had the lasagna and it practically melted in my mouth. Absolutely amazing. All of my colleagues enjoyed their meals as well. It got quiet once the dishes came which is a good sign that the food is excellent. My Italian coworker is kind of an Italian food snob and she loved everything too. We split some desserts to include Tiramisus, Cannolis, Pistachio something (can’t remember the name). All of it was excellent. I’m not going to wait so long before going back for another visit! Highly recommend the food and Giuseppe as a waiter.

Have now visited a few times and never been disappointed. The staff are always very welcoming and take the time to make sure that you are having a wonderful experience. The food is really good, always seems to be consistent and good value for money.

Great spot for Italian food for the price! went on a Sunday 6 pm and it was crowded - glad we made a reservation Best part was honestly the free bread which came with a slightly spicy but excellent marinara. Do your best at not getting full off the bread. We got the black linguine salmon and chicken parm which were both excellent and portions large enough to take home for seconds. One thing to note is despite what it says on website, they do NOT offer free parking.

Excellent service. The waiters are exceptionally quick, kind, and patient. Food comes out quickly, even on bush Saturday nights. The food itself was pretty good. They have a wide selection of pastas and meats, with a number of vegetarian options. They'll be happy to make a custom pasta for you (with reason, of course) to meet your needs. The atmosphere was regular for this kind of restaurant. People wear t-shirts and jeans, and there are brick walls and wooden chairs. This is a great place to bring young children, for a date, or a regular family night.

My favorite restaurant in San Diego, period. Nice staff, freshly baked bread, huge varieties of pasta/risotto selections, simply classic family-owned Italian restaurants.

Real Italian food and service. Reservations recommended. The food is superb, and the prices are too. The menu selection has a variety of pastas, salads, and chef's specials. The serving sizes are plenty - you won't go away hungry! Outside seating is available with overhead heating if it is chilly outside. Street parking available nearby. You have to try this place for the best Italian in the city. Don't forget the good wine selection!

I had the eggplant appetizer. A thin slice of eggplant covered with sauce and cheese . I felt like I was eating sauce and cheese because there was so little eggplant. Service was excellent. Prices are moderate- high. Parking is pay only. I really dislike metered parking. I wouldn't make a point of going back. There are many places just as nice with free parking and lower prices. Hillcrest is good if you can walk to the places or take a short rideshare. It's too much of a hassle for me.

The real deal! Having lived in Italy many years I'm always skeptical of eating at Italian restaurants in the usa, I usually avoid them. However, I am so thrilled to have taken the chance and tried this place. The food transported us back to Italy. The gnocchi was so soft and fluffy, the Linguine Mediterraneo in white wine was so fresh letting all the natural flavor shine through and the crispy Artichokes with garlic and fried basil were a favorite too. I can't wait to come back here and try more of their dishes! Hats off tothe chefs!

Delicious and authentic Italian food! Our favorite is the tortellini with ham and peas in a creamy sauce. This last time I got the fusilli creamy pesto with chicken and mushrooms which was amazing! Soft but present pesto taste. My husband always goes for the squid ink pasta with shrimp in a creamy sauce. The atmosphere feels like you're eating in an intimate restaurant in the outskirts of Venice. Plentiful wine list as well.
