Review La Salsa - San Bruno

They weren't supposed to put sour cream in my taco salad. They did and took it out, then hid it under lettuce. I should have known when the person making it asked me, and he had sour cream on his ungloved finger. I threw it down the garbage disposal after I discovered it. Oh and they still have a problem with the fried flour tortilla shell tasting like cleaning chemicals and this inedible. I suggested they switch to fragrance free cleaners, but they don't get it. Carbs are like sponges and absorb odors and chemicals from the air. Even if you don't store the chemicals next to the flour tortilla, if you use them in the floor, they evaporate into the air and contaminate everything absorbent, including flour tortillas.

This is the only fast food restaurant in this plaza that I can find with a covered patio during a rainy day. The chicken burrito I got was fine, the service was fast and friendly, and the price is reasonable. Nothing extraordinary but meets my normal expectation of a taqueria.

Would definitely recommend trying this place. Big portions for the price and quality food. U have to try the chips and guacamole and make sure to get the green guac sauce too it's amazing!!

The food was so gross Looking, I couLdn't take one bite. The guy at the cash register was coughing and sneezing coming he look like he was suffering from the flu. I asked him if he was about to make my food, he said "no". I Look behind the counter, he was making my food. The whole experience was a gross and nasty and I would never eat here again

Chipotle shrimp salad is good. Tortilla soup good a little salty and too watery not much food. Place not too clean, was observing lady used gloves but guy with a management aspect doesn't follow health and safety protocols because just after being at the registration he went inside the kitchen area using his bare hands without gloves after handeling money at the registration, he grabed the burrito tortilla to fix up a burrito and taco order. If I was a food inspector I would have brought down points on food handling. After pandemia seems like health and safety protocols have gone down and not being done. Other than those comment and inprovements will definitely come back.

This La Salsa was bomb when I used to be a kid but I just came back and it was a huge disappointment. Salsas tasted watered down and the chips were stale. With not as many La Salsa’s around as before, this place is bad for the brand. I recommend going to the San Leandro or downtown Oakland locations. These owners need to step it up.

Of all the Una Mas and La Salsa locations I have patroned, this place is, by far, THE WORST. I thought these restaurants all had the same standard of quality, but I was wrong. I’v been to this location three times, just to see if the first two visits were random bad days. However, I learned that this place is consistently bad and I think they know it, but really don’t care, ever. The service was semi-friendly, until I started asking questions or wanted condiments. The food quality was extremely poor, each time, relative to the other La Salsa location. The tables weren’t wiped clean. Note: my experiences at this La Salsa were all during pre-pandemic lockdown.
