Review Isla Restaurant - San Bruno

Definite must visit Filipino Restaurant when you’re in the SF area. The place is big and clean. Servers are friendly and attentive. Food is unique, delicious, and served fairly quickly. The adobo ox tail and the crispy pork binagoongan are highly recommended.

All the Filipino comfort foods with good portions. My favorite was the sinigang, inasal, and halo halo. Do not come here when they are busy if you are sensitive to sound because it is VERY noisy. Quick but inattentive service. Staff speak Tagalog.

This is the perfect place for a group of friends or family. Order their Bilao package enough for group of 8-10, includes unlimited order of rice and two desserts. They have two soda fountains with ice dispensers which is enough to give you space and time to get your favorite "softdrinks" beverage (they have pepsi products). If you're a Niner, Gsw or Giants fan, you wont miss out on basketball, football and baseball coverage as they have 4 widescreen TVs. They have table seating for 4 and upto 12 seats (round table). There's a public parking at the back if you are having a hard time looking for one on the side of the restaurant. must try: Kare-kare, jeprox, pancit & leche flan

Celebrated my friend's birthday here. The staff were very nice. Food were great, we got the bilao #4, price is good, the amount of food on hilao is good for 6 people. Lol. More sawsawan options please. 😁

First time ever having Filipino food. Let me say that Isla did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and the ambience was very nice. I ate here in Early August. Now I’m back in the bay from Washington, D.C. for a few days and I’m taking my wife to eat there. I can’t wait to feast! I’ll add a second review then or maybe I’ll let the Mrs. do so.

Great place for big groups and large platters. Lechon kawali, pinakbet and pancit were awesome. Make sure to have the kare kare oxtail with shrimp sauce. The two go great together.

This is my family’s go-to Filipino restaurant in the Bay Area. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. And did I mention the food is amazing?! I love that this place has plenty of space for their customers.
