I grew up on this part of town the west side back then this used to be the fish place for us but of course as you get older and you move to certain areas of the city we discover other fish places like Sea Island, but Fred's Fish still a place to stop, when you can't afford the more expensive restaurants, went with a friend to drop off his at the mechanic's on the westside next was a fred's fish on Castroville Road and this one tastes a lot better than the one on Old Pearsall Road even the fries were different it was really good....way to go Fred's 👍

Its hit or miss. Unfortunately today was a miss!

Store hours state that they close at 11pm. I went to Fred's Fish on Castroville Rd, at 8:40pm and the employees said they were closed. I've been to this location many times and they always close early for no reason. But I bet they stay on the clock to get paid. Smh. I am unable to contact a corporate office for this location. If anyone knows where I can file a complaint, let me know. Thank you

The fish was pretty good. Tartar not so good. Family order comes with a small fry!

It's nothing special, typical fred's fish. I usually get the 22. Chicken sandwich. I take them home and slap a slice of cheese and some lettuce and mayo, then it goes from a 99 cent sandwich to a 3 dollar chicken burner.
