Es De Comida China!

We were wanting a Chinese buffet without dealing with a lot of traffic. I should have delt with more traffic. I hoped China King was comparable to City Buffet in southeast San Antonio. It was not. I realize almost anyone can run a Chinese buffet because menu items are often cooked off location and shipped in 5 gallon buckets to be reheated by the restaurant. But in the case of China King, most of their entrees tasted the same, like they were all reheated in the same sauce and shipped in the same bucket. I will not mention what I selected to eat because it was either warmish or tough to eat. Even the cocktail sauce tasted like weak ketchup. My wife had a second bowl of egg drop soup; it's hard to ruin canned soup. I photographed a cautionary sign found on each table. It warns customers not to take away extra food or be charged $4.99 a pound. Not to worry. I wouldn't think of it.

The food while tasty was not very hot. Shame that lunch prices have drifted North of $10 while three buffet tables remain empty due to Covid. I’ve been to other buffets that have raised lunch prices but they still have a full buffet offerings. Many have cut out the crab legs which have become very costly but there was something else offered. All in all the place was clean and service was proficient and friendly. It was just disappointing to see all the dark empty buffet tables. Kind of like KMart at closing time when half the light went out.

Food is horrible. HARDLY HAD ANYTHING ON BUFFET.. We didn't even eat but two bites. Chicken undercooked fish mushy. Mushrooms tasted like some cleaning solution was on them.. And desert well tasted bland no flavor at all honestly I wouldn't even call it t desert... Even drinks didn't taste right. I WOULD NOT WASTE ONE PENNY ON THIS PLACE.. We told them how unhappy we were with the food and they didn't GAF they wanted the money.

My family and I just got in from our vacation and Decided to go here to eat at 7pm, to only find that the food that had been on the line had not been changed out for hours. When we asked were the fresh food was at, their response was that they are closing at 9pm. They only put out a little bit of food! Mind you it’s Spring break and people are still coming in to eat dinner. Very rude manager that didn’t want to listen to my husband nor my son’s response to what was going on with the food. Plus other customers were complaining as well. We will not be coming back to this place. I honestly wish that we had stopped at Asian Star then this place. Not worth the $60.00 dollars and change. 😩

Tried to take my grandson in on his 2nd birthday. Staff was rude. Host repeatedly told us that we had 20min to eat even though the sign and the website both clearly stated that they were open for an hour to witch he replied those are out of date. My daughter and I were both very disappointed and I felt bad for my family. We ended up at Cici's because we ubered all the way from Bandera rd to the location. We never got to eat here because almost all the food was removed when we got there. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If the staff feel they are more important then the guest a place can never succeed.

When at 11:30am walked in it smells like gas told lady said not gas so went in got rice beef Broccoli two egg rolls a piece of fried chicken some sushi all the food was cold or room tep Took a bite of fried chicken disgusting had skin yellow over fried nasty all the food seemed like it was days old I came here six years ago food was great but not on this occasion I asked the neighbor if he thought the food was good he kind of shrugged his shoulders This place has the audacity if you leave food on plate they will charge you 499 a pound for food left on the plate that’s hilarious the only thing good was the iced tea do not go to this place health department needs to inspect .

Dinner time. Full buffet, large selection of dishes & varieties. I enjoyed the fried fish, the baked is best, lo mein is savoury, egg roll could have been tastier, the chicken wing surprised me but the stuffed shrimp was so good. The veggies could've been warmer but tastes really good, the ribs too were a delight & general sao chicken hit the spot. I didn't have room for fruits or desserts. The restrooms could be better equipped but were clean. I return whenever I can.
