Review Wing Daddy Sauce House - San Antonio

Overall a good visit. Table we sat at it needed a little wiping. Food was hot and delicious. Had a couple margaritas and wings. Our server was friendly and made sure we didn't need anything.

Pathetic. Ripoff. Dirty, table was filthy. The boneless wings are smaller than a quarter. The I ed tea was spoiled. The waitress was obviously not happy with her job. I should have known it was bad when the place is empty on a Friday at noon.

Don't waste your time coming here. There were 5 servers standing around doing nothing an hour and a half before closing time. We asked for a 6 top and they said that they could not seat us. Here are the details: On 4/7/2022 between 10:15-10:30PM some friends and I went to Wing Daddy's after our volleyball game. When we walked in there were 2 cooks, 3 servers, and the bartender all hanging out in the back left corner of the restaurant. There was also 1 server in the high top area sweeping. There were maybe 4 people at the bar and 2-3 tables in the whole restaurant, so it was pretty dead. No one came to greet us so I approached the server that was sweeping. We asked for a 6 top and she said let me go ask. Then she finished sweeping the bar area while we just stood there watching. When she's finally done, she walks over to the huddle, chats for a bit, and said that they could not seat us. There was plenty of seating available, but they were all 4 tops. We asked if we could put some tables together; the server goes back to the huddle,to discuss this earth shattering ideas for a couple of minutes. She comes back and says they can't do that. Then there was an awkward pause as she stared at me waiting for me to figure it out. So I asked if we could sit at one of the 6 tops in the "closed" section and the server said they were short staffed so we couldn't sit there. Another silent pause. Then she says we could split our party and sit at 2 separate tables. When we asked if we could speak to a manager to figure this out, literally, the entire staff scattered and left us standing in restaurant for 4-5 minutes. So we took the hint, left, and went and had a great time at Hooters across the highway. Probably spent, at least, $200 on food and drinks between the 6 of us, tipped 20-25%, and were out the door by Midnight.

I love super hot wings. This place would have been new to me. When I asked how hot the wings the bartender was unable to answer. Was going to order the hottest anyway but was curious because they were only 3 peppers hot. Then I asked about the price Bone in wings are 2$ each! Beer was warm. Eating somewhere else today!

Good food, especially the nachos. Get the chicken and beef. For wings, the Spicy Garlic if you like it good and hot. It's not on the menu, but they have it. Service can be hit or miss, depending on how many servers they have, so I tend to stay at/near the bar for the best experience.

We got there at around 830p and thought they were about to close just based on the vibe. It wasn’t busy but the service was still slow and subpar. The highlights are that the wings were really good so shout out to the cook and the bartender was polite and got me a different marg because the first one was pretty distasteful. Unfortunately, we were there for about an hour and never got our fries and even though I brought it up to the server before she took my payment, I think I still ended up being charged for them (I didn’t get an itemized receipt at the end but the total looked the same). Overall, I wouldn’t go back or recommend the location to anyone but if you’re in the area and want to try it, it’d probably be best to go during the day because maybe it was just a night shift thing.

Family friendly, with several TV’s to watch the game(s). I just assumed it was a bar that had wings, oh was I wrong. It is a real wing joint that has a bar. We went on a Friday night and it was packed, the ladies were running to take care of tables. We unfortunately had to wait over ten minutes to have our table bussed by the waitress. I wanted to give a three star but our server was great, she was working hard to keep up. She shouldn’t have to bus her own tables. Also, there was a manager in the floor doing his best to take care of tables and waiting guests. Let’s talk wings! They were huge; and perfect! Right amount of crisp to sauce, they obviously didn’t sit long to get ran to the table. We had the Sleezeballs, their version of an oversized tater tot. It was good, not great. The problem with anything oversized, it’s hard to cook through, properly without burning the outside while not being undercooked in the middle. I’ll pass on those next time. Stick to the basics, the wings are top notch. We will be going back.

If zero stars was an option, I would have selected that. I had the worst experience on the night of April 7. A group of friends and I walked in roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes before closing. Tables were being cleared and set aside. We asked for a table of six and we’re told they cannot combine tables to accommodate us. When we asked for a member of management, the five waitresses scrambled and disappeared into the kitchen. We waited at least three minutes for someone to come and speak to us but never did. At this point we decided to leave and head across the street to Hooters.

First of all i wanted wings for lunch and i was at work. So, i called and placed the order ahead of time to be ready at 230. I get there at 235 and my food wasnt ready.5 minutes later, my food wasnt ready. 5 minutes later they bring my wings. This was my second time eating WD. My first experience was at the Bandera location. It was cool. The chicken was done well and had plenty of flavor. This location on Bitters has made me steer clear of WD from now on. I had 10 Cajun and 10 lemon pepper. The Cajun had the level of "heat " i personally like along with some decent flavor. However, 4 out of the 10 were hard and overcooked. The lemon pepper flavored wings had absolutely no flavor and all 10 were overcooked. I gave my coworkers most of them. My question is, how are you late with my food and overcook it at the same time? This location had a very unprofessional staff and lacked the customer service the Bandera location has.

I’ve been to 3 of the wing daddy’s here in San Antonio. As far as service it’s never consistent(most of them aren’t that good) sorry the truth. I always sit at the bar (faster/better service) Suzy at bitters is awesome!!! This place is my favorite! I love the margaritas. Yes things are greasy but I would assume with fried food it would be. I’ve tried burgers, riblets, shrimp, and the nachos. All delicious! Sit at the bar!!!!

First visit was shortly after the opening. The wings were drenched in grease. They were barley edible. But what was worse was that we asked if they were gluten free. The waitress didn’t know what that was. Once asked if they were dredged she couldn’t answer that either. Our last visit, I mean LAST, was Monday. We walked in the door and the smell was so terrible we had to leave. The whole restaurant smelled of rancid bar mat. Mr. Esposito, you could do better.

It was a good place to eat! Loved the drinks and the food. The waitress was friendly and nice.

This place suxs the girls there are too worried about showing their asses rather serving their customers. We waited 45mins and still no food came out to us, I complaint to the manager and all she could say was Ill check. No apology nothing. Waited another 10mins and still no food. I walked out with my family after waiting almost an hour. Worst service ever.

Came to Wing Daddy's and enjoyed the service and food!!! I just have one suggestion, can you guys add one more flavor to your wings sauces? It is jalapeño ranch, we moved here from El Paso TX and they have it at there wing daddy's. It's more of a powder than a sauce, it's really good!! I know if people tried it they would enjoy it! It's not spicy at all. Thank you to our server Ceanna who gave us great service and manager Mr. Reyes!!! Will definitely return!!!!!

Excellent service! My waitress was awesome her name was Tiffany. My food and drink was on point!

I'm really shocked to see how many people have a bad experience here! My boyfriend and I come here weekly and always have a good experience. Staff is friendly, a manager always walks around to ask if we are doing okay, the food is always hot and made to order! My only real gripe would have to be some of the sour looks some of the waitresses have lol but I'm one of those who has resting b**** face too so who am I to judge! There was one time that the wings were small (for once) and I told my bf not to worry about it because it's probably the vendor and the waitress still went out of her way to give us a discount even though it really was no biggie. We really love this place and will continue to go! I always recommend to my wing lover friends and family.

Awesome food staff was great. And my Mango margarita was great 281 east bitters.

Ok food. Ok drinks. Friendly yet clueless employees about menu. Every time we asked a question she would answer "I don't know." Nothing special about this place. Much better choices for wings out there.

The buffalo shrimp an the variety of beers is off the chain an you can smoke on the patio. That sold it for me. Come check this place out

Luv this place ,we needed a table for 15 during a Cowboys game ,got seated immediately, waitress was awesome, food as always was great! The game was on every tv there ,audio as well , definitely a favorite!

Wings were good and big.. Probably biggest in town. Place was not too packed which was good for us. Service was good.

I usually come here to watch Dallas Stars hockey. I can walk in here and every TV will be on the Spurs or Cowboys game. We ALL have the understanding that hockey is not that popular here in SA, but it doesn’t matter to this awesome staff. They will make it to where at least ONE TV will be on the Stars game. That’s going the extra mile for costumer satisfaction.

Good food and fast service. Everything was fresh and on point.

I hate to have to say this but could you turn the music down? Its not easy to have normal conversations in the middle of the afternoon. I get it but I don't need 9pm bar music during the day. Service is OK. Wings are pretty good. Don't bother with a burger.
