Golden Chick

This was my first time trying Golden Chick. My co-worker said it is very good so i went to pick us up lunch. I ordered a #3 and asked for all dark, she ordered a #1. I get back to the office with our food and see that they gave me a 2 piece dark so I turn around and go back. I pull up and tell the girl that i asked for a 2 piece dark, she apologized replaced the order and gave me fresh sides. I get back to the office to find chicken that looked like it had been sitting for hours, i took the skin off of the thigh and it was dark brown and dry. My co-workers tenders as well were dry and the gravy was extra thick like it had been sitting for hours. She called to complain and the manager (Shay) asked her why didn't she check her food before I went back. Of course since I walked right back out of the door she didn't have time to. Shay said she would replace our meals when we go back but i don't know if I will want to go back. For $10 I should have just went to Bill Millers across the street.

In the mood for some good ole chicken. do not go here. i repeat do not order from here! first of all, no white meat, terrible management skills. second, got my order wrong; gave me fried chicken instead of roasted. gave them the benefit of the doubt, understood they were handling shipment. third, forgot my bread rolls. called to resolve the matter. only thing they were willing to offer were the two forgotten bread rolls. Thank you so much for the great customer service. NOT!!

Few things about this place that makes it absolutely worth the visit; Their lotta zing is absolutely the best, Rolls are better than any biscuits you will ever eat at chicken place, chicken and tenders both are fresh and the best. Few improvements I will think would be getting the product out quickly (customers have to wait longer than other fast food restaurants). If you do not mind fresh chicken that tastes absolutely delicious you won't mind the wait time.

I used to work here. Let me tell you- don't come here- I have no conflict of interest I will address that right off the bat. Good people work here, and I actually like the owner as a person. However, we were encouraged to refrigerate even those tasty dinner rolls overnight. Phone call complaint? Better get a call back number, which will never be called back. Refund? Employees paycheck for whoever "screwed up"- even if it wasn't their fault. Old chicken? Turn it into a chicken salad! In short- I actually like the food. If you go here get the Zing sauce. I like the owner, and the employees are cool. But don't get the food here, do yourself a favor and go to Bushs or Cains, heck even the Churchs down the street.

If I could give them zero stars I would. First off, the place looks good on the outside but disgusting on the inside. We order two orders of the 5 piece catfish and one order of a 3 piece which is a leg, wing, and thigh. She comes back later and says she only has legs...she could have said that before I ordered. Then the catfish was hard and tasteless. The windows were streaked with window cleaner, the counter was sticky and then when we asked for our money back, apparently they have a policy of no refunds. What the heck kind of service is that!?! Never going back to this food place again...if you want to even call it food.

Good chicken, good green beans, good macaroni, but they gave us gravy w/ no mash in it and thighs instead of breasts. However, we were able to come in next day and get our order fixed. I've been to Golden Chick in Austin and San Marcos, and theirs are awesome! Hopefully, this one'll get as good as those!

I went to this Golden Chick on Babcock I ordered a 15 piece mix with 3 sides for myself and coworkers when the girl handed the bag of chicken and sides I asked for 8 plates she refused and urged with me that she couldn't because the plates are for dine in only I urged back and told her I paid 35.45 for my order and how in the hell im I suppose to serve my coworkers mash potatoes, macaroni, green beans, and chicken. Will anyway Jordan told her just give me the plates which she did I told her never urge with the customer she replied very rude to me I DIDN'T urge I told her YES YOU DID 3 times we were back and forth . When I get to work I open the box of chicken and to discover it as mostly dark meat. I Called the restaurant spoke to Jordan claiming he was the chef leader manager and that he will let Mgr Freddie know and that I ill get a call back. Which I never got called this place is a ripoff I never had such a bad experience with a chicken place but guess what I'll never go or recommend this place to no one.
