Great place to sit and relax with a "cuppa" tea and enjoy British and American style sandwiches. They also do the traditional British fry-up as well as bangers and mash and fish and chips. The scones and clotted cream are made on site and are very good! You will be enveloped with soothing classical music in a quiet atmosphere. This place has been open for 13 years and is a true hidden treasure! They also have a small gift shop and carry some British groceries.
I STRONGLY recommend visiting this tea shop. It's the most delightful place. Every table is fully set with China tea cups, saucers, sugar cube bowls, cloth napkins, napkin holders, and lace table cloths. You can just order house tea, or you can get a meal. They offer cream tea, high tea, fish and chips, scones, biscuits (cookies), treacle, spotted dick, and other wonderful foods! As you can see, our food was served on a tiered platter with plates with doilies. They're open 11-6 Wednesday-Saturday, and it is cash only. Go check it out and support your local businesses!!!
My two daughters and I enjoyed our visit to the English Tea Shoppe. The biscuits, scones and spreads were fresh and flavorful. The tea was robust and invited delightful conversation. The service was friendly, attentive and yet not obtrusive to our experience. My daughters both thought the gift shop prices were reasonable. Owner, Stephanie, is gracious, professional and kind. We hope to become regular customers. Thanks for a lovely Saturday afternoon! Be sure to bring cash, no checks or credit accepted.
This is a great place to take a girl out for a lunch date. I also took my family here a few times. Their sandwiches and tea are delicious and the presentation is really fun. You get a teapot, along with the fixings, in fine china. It's only open for lunch though, so you've got to make a plan to come to this charming little local owned shoppe. I would recommend the tuna fish or chicken salad sandwiches, yum!

Of course I love this place! It's been family owned and operated by my mother for years! It's a great place to have tea, a scone relax and enjoy the elegant atmosphere. Great English products, sweets, delights and so much more.
The English Tea shoppe was Excellent! We really enjoyed our High Tea Service and the owner was Great! We just wish we had this store in Burlington VT, we'd be regulars! The tea service was inexpensive and abundant!
