Cajun Seafood And Sandwiches

I was quite disappointed with the shrimp poboy I ordered. To begin with, they use popcorn shrimp instead of medium or large sized shrimp. Now, in all fairness to the restaurant, their menu clearly states that the sandwich is made with popcorn shrimp. Nonetheless, a shrimp poboy is what I wanted, so that's what I ordered. The shrimp were seasoned tastily enough, but they reminded me of those little 6oz. bags of tiny frozen shrimp that you can get at HEB. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, however, the bread was way too thick and way too dry. In fact, it's not an exaggeration to say it was stale. All in all, it definitely was not worth the six and a half bucks I paid for it. The fries, on the other hand, were good. Nothing to write home about... but good. I opted for the regular fries instead of the cajun ones. They were plentiful and lightly salted. The friendliness and prompt service I received from my waitress, Lala, is the saving grace here. Were it not for her, her recommendation to try one their Vietnamese entrees and the cleanliness of the establishment, I doubt if I'd be willing to give them another shot. So... we'll see what happens.
