Won't rate lower till I eat there and if it's necessary. But one reviewer mentioned it lacked music. Thanks for the tip. That is exactly why I will go try this place! Atmosphere is created by the din of the crowd and BACKGROUND music. It is ridiculous how many places here play loud music and have TV's on at the same time. Overkill and rather annoying! Not to mention the inconsiderate people who nowadays make their own noise with electronic devices machines to compete with the already mentioned.
Great tacos! Friendly wait staff and interesting music! Mom and I enjoyed our breakfast! Next time we will try lunch. The table next to us all had enchilalas!
Great tacos but the rosevelt location does not have the feel no music other surrounding to give it that extra kick but great tacos
This review is based on not one visit, but several visits...
It's nestled in a not so glamorous area of south town, but it's worth the stop. The food is made fresh. They serve homemade lemonade, Jamaica and Horchata, and amazing hot coffee.
They serve their breakfast plate specials to 11am that go for $6.99 that includes potatoes, beans, two tortillas and coffee or ice tea. Their potatoes are mixed with chorizo and is delicious, but you can request them with out the chorizo
their enchilada plate lunch special go for $6.99 and includes an ice tea.
They offer several other lunch specials that go for a dollar more that also includes ice tea.
The place is always clean with plenty of parking, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I never have to wait for a table during lunch time and They also have a drive through if you're in a hurry.
I highly recommend their enchiladas, "carne de puerco asado(Thursdays only"), and any of their breakfast tacos or plates.
NOTE: I do NOT recommend their barbacoa or their hamburges. Their hours are from 5:30am-3pm. Closed on Sundays.
Solid place all around. Tortillas , plates , hot sauce all good.
They open at 5:30. There are very few restaurants that open before 6am so I'm very grateful for this place. I work overnight so breakfast at 5:30 is just what I need to go to bed
We had the Mexican Plate and the Deluxe Plate. The place was amazing and the service was right on point! Make sure to try the green chili sauce!
Enjoyed some lunch today at Benny’s. It was my first time in and I only stepped in because I was in the area. First off, the staff happily greeted us in English and Spanish which I truly appreciate. For food I had a carne asada repeat with queso fresco and jalapeños and it was very good. My last experience with a torta elsewhere was really bland, but I would eat this again. Additionally, my Mexican friends thought the food tasted authentically which is always a plus. Lastly, it was super affordable and quick service. Definitely check it out if you’re in the neighborhood.
beautiful woman handsome men delicious food I recommend the hamburger railroad
food is good, customer service is really outstanding the lady in the morning that works the drive through has great customer service. Honestly I've never ate inside. So I don't know how clean it is or the environment.
I ate at Benny's Tacos on Roosevelt almost 3 years. Food was good then & still good now. Breakfast was a bean & cheese taco, a potato & egg taco, & coffee. I prefer flour tortillas but wasn't offered a choice. Corn was good, but not as soft as flour. Tacos were $.99 each for the breakfast special. With coffee, tax & 20% tip, I paid just over $5... a Very Good deal!
Benny's was awesome! We were riding bikes on the Mission Trail and got off at Mission Concepción looking for lunch. Google said Benny's was close so we road over and checked it out. The food was really good and our waitress was great. We had Cheese Enchiladas, Green Chicken Enchiladas, the Gordita plate and a Cheeseburger and it was all delicious. Everything was very flavorful, the cheese was good and the veggies were crisp and fresh. The prices were affordable...our ticket for a family of four was under $30. Oh...and the tea was nice and fresh. We really enjoyed Benny's Tacos!
Great food and wonderful staff. Short bus ride (#34) from downtown, totally worth it!
