I first tried Daylight Donuts at an event and fell in love! Their donuts are some of the best in San Antonio. The bakery has a very comfortable local feel to it, but it is a chain restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. They have a small children's play area which we found very enjoyable. Their sausage kolache is very good. I had the Jalepeno and sausage kolache. It was surprisingly large, warm and delicious! I'd definitely recommend the cake style donuts as well. We got the pink frosted cake donut. It wasn't just frosting dyed pink; the frosting has a very rich strawberry flavor and if you've ever been to a few lower quality bakeries it'll surprise you as most places just dye the regular frosting pink.
Great service and even better doughnuts. Atmosphere is amazing to spend the morning and have some coffee. Only bad thing is they close on Sundays.
Super cute place and friendly staff. There was a small kids kitchen play area that kept my 3 year old busy as well.
Sweet little place. Loved the fact they have a store cat waiting outside the door to greet you. He scratched if you pet too long but is sweet. The glazed donuts were delicious. Not too sweet and not hard. Very fluffy and rich in flavor
I used to go here all the time when my partner worked in the area. These are some of the best donuts in the city. The selection is great and the staff are super friendly. Word of note - the kolaches are kept in a warmer around the corner, so there's no visible indicator that they are still in stock. You just have to ask for them.
I went to this donut shop twice and I love how yummy their donuts taste. I especially love their donut holes as well as their raspberry filled jelly donuts. Their prices are reasonable and the staff there are always very courteous and polite. I will highly recommend Daylight Donuts to any customer who is looking for the best donuts to bring home whether it's to your office coworkers or to your family. I will continue to give Daylight Donuts my business.
Best donuts! Great service, reasonable prices, wide selection. All donuts are great. Haven’t tried their coffee or kolaches, but the donuts alone are worth the trip. Not greasy, very fresh. Can’t say enough good things about their donuts.
These guys are awesome. This shop has the best donuts around, hands down. This morning I stopped in and grabbed my usual mixture of a dozen cake donuts. Realized I had forgotten my wallet at home. The great crew said just catch us tomorrow. Thanks.
I tried these donuts after an employee brought them for patients. Best old fashioned donuts I've had in SA! I love the donuts and kolaches. I make any excuse to come to the area so we can "stop by" and grab some. It was my favorite part of all the drs appointments during pregnancy. We would go so often the owner knows our order when he sees us. He even asks how the baby is doing now!
Even though I got there a little after they opened, my donuts tasted as if they were left out all night especially old fashioned. Very few things are labelled so if you don't know what everything is you are left asking about. Payed about 3$ for 3 donuts, I guess average, but not really worth it. The guy at the counter looked tired but it was early, so that's excusable! He was very friendly still.
