Hoppin' John - San Antonio - Photo album

I want to give this place a really good review because it has been quite a while since a restaurant has really impressed me like this. I took a chance on this place just because I needed something close to eat before a night out and it ended up being an amazing option for the following reasons Pri
Good service & good food. My dad likes to go for breakfast or lunch and I love pastries and desserts. They have a drive thru, patio, bar, & tvs but haven't been there in the evenings to check it out.
I wanted something new for lunch and opened up Google Maps for restaurants near me. I found Sylvia's and decided to give it a try. I ordered the #8 Vero's Special. 2 cheese enchiladas, refried beans, Spanish rice, a beef puffy taco, and 2 flour tortillas. The food was pretty good. Next time, I'
1st Time here. Very beautiful Restaurant and very Clean. Their Salsas are very delicious, Tortillas are very good, Presentation of plates are very Clean and Fresh looking Food and the taste was outstanding. The only thing the menu has to many Enchilada Plates needs more Variety of Food Combinations.
This place has the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. The light green sauce they offer is so delicious. We visited twice for breakfast while staying in a nearby AirBnB and wish we'd gone more. Do yourself a favor and get breakfast tacos here. Service and atmosphere were fine, but the food is reall
The food was delicious and fresh! There were a variety of salsas, that were super tasty. This ambiance of the location was very nice and clean. Plenty of patio space for families & kids. The wait staff was very welcoming, will return to restaurant!
YUM! I’ve gone a couple times and each time the food is delicious! Our server was patient and very friendly. And everything is very reasonably priced. A neighborhood staple!
So far they have the best Menudo in town. The service was excellent, and we were not rushed to leave. Our server, Laura was excellent. I will definitely recommend this to friends and go back there to try other menu items.
I'm back in NH, I'm craving tacos from Sylvia's already. I wish I could have the food shipped to me. San Antonio food made NH restaurants not so good to me anymore. I mean once you tasted the food, it's over with. Your hooked.
The food was good. My son ordered the combination plate, and I had the Vero special. I would have given 5 stars, but I prefer cheddar cheese for my enchiladas and tacos. Other than that, the rest of the food was great. Salsa had a good flavor, especially if you like cilantro and fresh onion.
Sylvia's was delicious!!! Their homemade tortillas..... Yummmmmm... And my over medium eggs actually were!! My only complaint is maybe a little pricier than some other places , but good food is always worth it!! I'll go again and see if it's consistent for the 5 stars... 😊
Packed at 10am on a Sunday which can only mean 2 things.... the prices are on point and the food is great. Well.... guess what ?? Both! I got the chilaquiles but requested monterey jack cheese. The chaquiles didn't have cut up Pico e.g. tomato, peppers , onion. That's the only thing they should do i
Everything was delicious, rice and beans were cooked well, service was great, and the decor is beautiful. Looks like they're fixing up the outside eating area too. Only thing was the large potato chunk in the crispy taco, it took up 1/4 of the taco and the ground beef didn't have any flavor, BUT thi
Had the puffy tacos, everything was good. This was my first visit and the wait was not long to get my food.
