Las Palapas

Walked here from the nearby Marriott for breakfast tacos on our last day. Well worth the walk!!! Order the chorizo and potato special breakfast taco. Fresh flour tortilla. Just a little pillowy with a soft chew. So good. The waitress made us feel welcomed. Highly recommended and will stop in for lunch, breakfast, dinner next time in San Antonio. BTW, the green sauce is slightly spicy... very delicious.

I come during the week , usually in the very early morning hours. Laid back.. quiet. Not many borrachos. I sit here , eat my food, watch all the "wonderful people" of San Antonio come in, eat & leave! 😄😄 I'm the quiet guy in the corner eating carne guisada tacos! Super close by for my mom and I to eat. Food always great and quick turn around on getting served.

This Las Palapas is the best ! I will go here whenever I have the time. The service is great , the staff is friendly and the food is cooked perfectly. You won't be disappointed. The restaurant is clean and organized. I give it 5 stars all the way across. I had breakfast, so I recommend the pancakes and eggs with bacon.

Try the stuffed avacado as a light meal!! I tasted and loved the Chicken al carbon stuffed avacado. I've also tried the veggie stuffed one and both are delicious. I had the chicken soup & it hit the spot even on a hit super day. I say it should be named chicken & rice soup because that's all it had in it, a great portion in the bowl size & I had leftovers for the next day. We also ordered the Carne asada taco plate and the meat was soft. I always love ordering the fresh lemonade it is perfect with my meal. Although tea has free refills the lemonade does not but I still oder another anyway.

We can’t pass through San Antonio without finding good puffy tacos. Las Palapas makes consistently good food whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The staff here is friendly, my weird order was perfect, and the place is clean with good service. It gets busy here, but they move orders quickly so don’t be afraid of the line.
