I literally haven't been in here in over 20 years. I don't know why I was stubborn about visiting but have been taking an interest in sandwiches lately. Soo many places have come and gone. Subway set up soo many locations, and then they went away. But this Thunder Cloud location has remained here

If you’re looking for a slammin gluten free sub sandwich, this is where it’s at. The bread is really soft and has a great flavor. Their bacon is crispy and wonderful. I will absolutely be coming back!!
Not If but WHEN I come back, I will try without double meat. Double meat for them is like tripple meat at Jersey Milkes. I will be a regular here. I think it will be enough as just a regular sub and I am a big guy. This place is awesome. They are generous, affordable, friendy and make a great sub.
I use to get the Chicken Salad sandwich almost every week when I lived in Alamo Heights and it was amazing. If I remember correctly, they put oil, vinegar, and lettuce on it and it makes it taste insane. I now live in Spring Branch and hope to get by Thundercloud again soon. I really wish they’d ope
I love walking here when the weather is nice. Nothing on the menu disappoints and they have gluten free bread that actually tastes good! Very groovy atmosphere too. I just really, really wish they would bring back the yogurt milkshakes, hence 4/5 stars
I had their BLT with avocado but it tasted like no other sub I've ever had. This place is the best at what they do. Absolutely recommend to anyone who has a craving for an EXCELLENT sub. Finger licking goodness.

This location is almost as weird as the original one in Austin, and the food quality is almost the same which is unusual in a franchise. The bread is fresh the fixings are fresh and there's plenty on your sandwiches. My one recommendation is ask him to shake the Thunder sauce bottle to mix it up bef
The absolute best sandwiches of my life! Been coming here my whole life and it’s truly one of the few places I regularly order take-out from. Very consistent and always delicious 😋
Consistent every time we come! One of our go-to sub places to eat when we’re in the mood for a sub.
My only gripe is that they don’t have a location north in stone oak 😢😢
Wes & Mac are the BEST and the sandwiches are A++ and very filling! I highly recommend the Veggie Delite with bacon. Also, I got the gluten-free bread & it is very tasty and not dry at all, with which some other GF breads have trouble.
Location in dire need of some deep cleaning. Ceiling fans are disgusting. The filters are all brown.

I was literally raised at this thundercloud. All throughout elementary, middle, and highschool. I moved away for decade + and came back hoping it is still the best. IT IS. I was not disappointed. I love thundercloud. I am pregnant and all I want is thundercloud. Thank u to the thunder Gods for exis
Excellent service and quality food! My favorite is "big paul". Wow! Nice combo choices and very good potato salad.
My only suggestion is add spicy mayo. Parking is a little scarce with a Starbucks next door but HEB is behind with a short walk. Highly recomend.
I'm not typically a sub shop person, as I'm a vegetarian. Their Nada chicken sub was great. The girl taking my order suggested it, and what to have on it, I took her recommendation and loved it.
Glad they offer gluten free bread, wish it was softer and not so thick. Not super kid friendly, their sign for scoupons with Bart Simpson mooning the public is funny for adults but not ideal for little kids.
I had the roast beef, swiss and avocado. Excellent cold sub. Don't forget the Thunder Sauce. The sweet tea was made perfect as well. Not too sweet just the right amount of sugar. I will be back.
