Wings

Cashier is horrible....was extremely rude and not helpful at all. Obviously they don't care about how their customers are treated. Food was okay. But again I stress the customer service was horrible since the cashier was such a b. <br/>

Great Food customer service NOT so great. I recommend the wings, they are awesome, barbecue is great also, but the employees behind the register seem to never be in the best of mood. I always tell the people that I recommend to expect good food, but do not expect friendly people behind the register. I am not to sure if they are force to be there or what, but a smile and good customer service goes pretty far.

The cook must have been having a bad day .. Read the "good" reviews about this place and drove 50 miles to experience this great BBQ and was very disappointed with the food and the service, don't get the disparity from the greatest BBQ reviews to what I experienced, good reviews must be from friends and relatives cause I wouldn't recommend this place!

Finger lickin. This place is a good addition to the sside. U don't have to drive hella far for some good BBQ. Reg ribs way better than baby backs. Burgers are awesome. Wings are bad ass, bigger than traditional wing places. Surprisingly this last time I went, I had a steak- blew my mind how tender and juicy it was, no sauce needed!! Def recommend this place to newcomers

Just took the family for Friday night dinner and it. was awesome! We had their famous tiger wings, burger, ribs, brisket and everything was hot and good! I almost forgot the fried pickles were nice starter. What ever you do be patient in waiting they are all working hard in the kitchen, definitely worth the wait... Gives you time to enjoy the cold,cold beer. When I went on a Friday night I was surprise to see so many people working the front counter but each young gentlemen were courteous and friendly and all seemed to hustle to get your order out. I would definitely go back and can't wait to take advantage of the great outdoor patio.

Portions and service. The food was good, not the best. The portions served could be a little bigger and the cole slaw needs to be reworked, too creamy and not a very good taste to it. The ambience is great and the beer is cold, good place to hang out and watch some sports. The young lady at the register could be a bit friendlier towards patrons to make people feel liked they're welcomed, a smile goes a long way.

The Hot Wings Rock. My favorite are the hot wings... love love love them... they are nice, big, crispy... with the perfect sauce (I get the sweet and spicy)... I just can't get enough... once you try them, thier's no turning back.... and the brews are nice and cold.... I never pass up a chance to meet at Bobby G's.

Needs More Smoke. Went Sat.11/19,after reading reviews being closer to home.I was very disappointed,prices are fair portions are small.Brisket very dry pulled pork and sausage tasted like they were cooked in an oven. No smoke flavor what so ever.

Awesome!!. Bobby G's is the real deal. Doesn't matter what you order, you can bet it's going to be awesome. Lucky to live in the area. Although me and my wife pass through there almost on a daily basis, it wasn't till a few months ago that I saw it, and decided we'd try it out. Now you can't get us out of there. Very cool indoor ambiance much like from the 70's. Extremely clean including RR's, and it's easy to see the pride he and his wife have in running it. We've had the BBQ, Hamburgers, Ribeye, Award winning Chicken Wings, (try them with their Tiger Sauce. The best. Hooter's, Wing Stop etc, forget about it. Can't touch these). Huge Baked Potato's which you can usually pick out. Great Potato Salad, (just tried it today), not that runny white mayonnaise salad you get from BM, or Rudy's. Keep in mind anybody can have an off day, but give it a chance, and I guarantee you'll learn to love this place, which btw also has and outdoor patio. Something I just learned today was that unlike almost every restraunt in town that use some type of food service to deliver food products, these people make it all there from scratch, and are very creative with what they make. Well good luck Bobby, and Gloria and hope ya'll are here for the long run, and we'll be there to help celebrate their 1 year anniversary in December.

Awesome. Great hometown BBQ joint! <br/><br/>Decorations - The place is decorated with the hometown feel and tons of nostalgia on the walls. <br/><br/>Pik nic and wood tables, the oldschool bbq feel. A place to hang your hat, litterally. (tons of hats hanging from the wall of many schools and local companies) <br/><br/>Everyone i bring here pretty much says "wow" when they walk in. Don't let the oldschool comment get you either, there are quite a bit of flatscreen TV's mixed in the walls of the relics.<br/><br/>Drinks - Typical beverage, sweet tea, etc is kinda pricey as mentioned on an earlier comment. They even serve homemade kool-aid as a pour yourself drink option. Pitchers there for quick refills at drink table. typical soda dispenser with most sodas as well.<br/><br/>BBQ: I usually get the two meat plate, and love the chicken, brisket, ribs all good and tasty and better than what you would expect from a 9 buck or less dinner. So definitely worth the price.<br/><br/>They have a condiments table - with slice of loaf breads (wrapped in plastic-pairs) and other fixings.<br/><br/>Sides: Mac & Cheese is amazing!! their other sides were good too, but the mac and cheese i find myself asking for double serving now when i go.<br/><br/>Overall, great place to stop in and try out if your on the fence of something new. location isn't bad, just a few blocks from the 90/nogalitos exit on the left. <br/>Great place to catch a game and some beers.<br/>great place to bring the family for dinner with all the nestalgia hanging on the walls.<br/>-J

I rely on Urbanspoon for most of my dining choices, and thanks to this application, I found Bobby G's Old School BBQ. <br/>First and foremost, this is the best place to happen to the south side!!! I love the place. I love the food. I love the people.<br/>Because of their variety, I go about once a week for lunch! I just had to submit a review to share my experiences and <br/>I have to disagree from a previous review I read.<br/>------ -------- ------- ------- -------- ------<br/>Chicken and Brisket: Rich, Flavorful, and Juicy! <br/><br/>Beef Ribs: Huge, Awesome, and the meet just falls off the bone! (Haven't tried the Pork ribs)<br/><br/>Burgers: Huge, Yummy, Better than Chris Madrid's! It's a favorite for my co-workers!<br/><br/>Wings: OMG! My personal favorite are the tiger wings! I crave these wings! <br/><br/>Sides: I love the Mac and Cheese and the cream corn! The potato salad is different from others I've had... but the best I've had. Average. Brisket - good, tender decent flavor<br/><br/>Chicken - poor, rubbery skin, bitter smoke flavor, mushy and somewhat bland.<br/><br/>Pork Rib - fair, undercooked, needed more seasoning.<br/><br/>Potato Salad - fair, bland, a little dry<br/><br/>Cole Slaw - good<br/><br/>Sauce - thick sweet. Not really my thing but others will probably like it. Nothing special. Watch out for the bottles on the table. The one on my table had gone bad.<br/><br/>Drinks $2 in a plastic dixie cup is just too expensive.<br/><br/>Overall, not horrible, but there are better choices.
